Dreaming, of a place better then this
But really we should be enjoying the moment
It's serene, a scene not to be missed
But all we can think about is how to own it
So I sit here staring at the abyss
And think, even in darkness we can find bliss
Because if you look hard enough you can see
Shapes and colours in unknown possibilities
But as you get older this skill can leave
And you won't even realise what it is to grieve
For the lost art of staring at a scene
And just sitting there so serene
The landscape makes you believe
In all the unknown possibilities
Again
But it's really not that hard to fade away
Into letting the view become just part of the background
Allowing all those colours to turn to grey
And never taking in nature's sound
Stop making the view become part of some bigger thing
And just accept it for what it is
Like a child just appreciate that it's there
And contemplate that nothing's truly bare
But it doesn't have to be complex with many meanings
Just something you can look at and admire
Regardless of if you're old or young
As long as you have that spark of desire

A View
PoetryStaring at a view and feeling just looking at it is not enough, being captivated by the moment isn't enough, I need to do something. But the best thing to do is appreciate nature and be thankful for all the scenic sites in this world.
