You wake up early,
You'll be grumpy
But it's a necessity
If you really want to see
Walk as high as you can
And admire everything around you
See all the beauty in this land
Take in the stunning view
See the different shades of grass,
All the cars that go past
Imagine what it looked like in the past
Fearing that the view won't last
See the sun cross the sky
The clouds float by
Leaving grey in their wake
See the reflections off the lake
Follow the birds in their flight
Envious of their perspective
For they have keener sight
And don't have an apparent objective
Still you share the view with them
And you'd do it all again
Just to look at the horizon
And see your hope rising

A View
PoetryStaring at a view and feeling just looking at it is not enough, being captivated by the moment isn't enough, I need to do something. But the best thing to do is appreciate nature and be thankful for all the scenic sites in this world.
