The Chauffeur || Thomas Sangster AU COMPLETED

*time jump 4 years later*

I hopped outside my car excitedly, it was the weekend and I wanted to surprise Thomas after not seeing him for a couple of weeks back in the center of London. I just finished my finals yesterday and we get a break from uni, after all- graduation is just next month and I decided to pack up and leave already. Thank God too or I would've murdered the dean. I locked my car doors and checked the time on my phone, around this time, Thomas would've still been in the office.

He's the CEO and the soon head owner of every branch in the world if Mark decided to let go of his position early. In fact- Mark offered Thomas a position anywhere in the world but he stayed in London for me. My heart fluttered at the thought and I beamed as I entered their building.

"Good morning, Miss Thompson" the lobby receptionist greeted me with a familiar nod and I greeted her back. The Sangster-Thompson partnership skyrocketed and more companies started investing, gran didn't even have to go check on the company since it was too big. "Mr. Brodie Sangster is in the meeting hall A47" she told me and I nodded.

"Thank you, Stacy! Don't tell him I'm here yet" I winked and she chuckled with a nod as I stepped inside the elevator.

Nearly everyone in the company knew me, either as Kathelyn Thompson from Diamond Banks or Thomas' girlfriend and they're both linked anyways. I couldn't stay still inside the elevator, I was so excited to see Thomas after so long. I missed him so much and we couldn't even talk online since I was busy with studying for my finals and he was busy with the business and all but we've been together for 4 years; going strong too. I couldn't believe that he stayed with me all those four years- all those years, I thought he'd leave me for someone better but he never did and I always tear up whenever I'd look back.

I stepped out of the elevator and greeted several workers and interns with a grin, walking down to A47. I approached one of the secretaries from the table, 2 of the slots were empty though but I ignored it. The others could've been absent, I didn't really care. "Is there a meeting currently being held in A47?" I asked her politely.

She looked up at me and beamed. "I-Uh. No, Miss Thompson. B-but Mr. Brodie Sangster's inside" she stuttered. I chuckled, finding her nervousness to talk to me cute. I smiled at her reassuringly before nodding at her gratefully. I didn't want to burst inside with a meeting being held, that would've been very embarrassing for Thomas and I.

I opened the door, jumping inside but froze when I saw a girl sitting on Thomas as they leaned by the side of the table. It was like I felt every fiber of my heart shatter and untangle into pieces. They jumped away from each other and Thomas looked at me with a mortified expression.

"Katy- I-I didn't know you we-were coming"

I felt the tears prick at my eyes and the lump choke on my throat. The secretary had a blank expression as if she didn't care I just walked into her and my boyfriend on top of each other; in fact she looked annoyed that I did.

"You didn't, is that why you're bloody cheating on me?!" I exclaimed. My jaw clenched and my hands balled into fists, I eyed the secretary angrily. I wasn't going to stoop to her level, 4 f.ucking years single-handedly flushed down the drain by this girl. The disappointment and betrayal tastes bitter at the back of my throat.

"I swear to God, it wasn't what it looked like-"

"Bullsh.it! Will there ever come a day you aren't bloody lying to me?!" I yelled. I felt a tear fall and I wiped it away angrily. The stab of pain, disappointment, and betrayal pierced in my chest and my throat constricted from my attempt at not crying. "This is why you haven't been calling or texting? I've been busy in the office –fucking your secretary! If I didn't come to surprise you, driving hours from uni just to see you, you would've fucked her and said 'I love you' to me hours later! You're a bloody wanker, aren't you Thomas?" I seethed with venom laced in my voice.
