*Shawn's POV*Kat looked at me as i reached out to open the door.
"It smells." She said, crinkling her nose.
i looked at her apologetically and twisted the knob on the door. it didn't budge.
"It's locked." i said shrugging, turning on my heel. She followed suit, but as soon as we went to walk off, she looked at the ground.
"Look keys!" She smiled and picked them up.
"Yippie, just our luck." i rolled my eyes, and she shot me a look.
I looked down at the floor, it looked like the floor was painted in brown. There was something scratched into the wall but it was too withered for me to read what it said.
Kat fiddled with the keys, they all looked so unfamiliar, they were rusted, but they were skeleton keys. They weren't the keys we were used to.
She finally finds one, and smiles at me. "This one doesn't have a label."
I look up at the door and swallow hard. This was nerve wreaking. why did i agree to stay again? images of what we seen previously in the barrel come to my mind, and i begin to feel queasy.
She pushes the key into the key hole and twists it until there's a click. She smiles at me and opens the door slowly.
The room smelled like stale death. The door opened all the way, the room came into view. A table with restraints lays right in the middle of the room, and there's a light right next to it. There was a smaller table, beside the bigger one, covered in tools.
We walked into the room all the way and Kat automatically went to the littler table full of tools. She lifts up one of the tools and turns to me with a smile. "It was a room for surgeries."
"For surgeries? this was a mental hospital." I said, and then her face dropped.
"I forgot about that." She set the tool down and came over to me.
We walked around the room examining the equipment and the different stuff.
"So, what do you think they were doing here?" Kat said, staring at me. She looked hurt.
"The fifties were famous for lobotomies and electro therapy." I said, grabbing her hand.
"Those poor people..." She sighed.
I pulled her in for a hug and held her there for a second. "Do you think that they are in a better place now?" She asked looking up at me.
I didn't know what to say to that, I am a boy of faith, but honestly, I dunno if they're in a better place now.
"Yeah, I believe so" I smiled and pulled her closer, kissing her head."Let's look around the room more" she smiles and grabs my hand.
Just as we go to walk, a door popped open and a creak filled the room.
We slowly turned around, cautious of our surroundings.
The door stopped a little close to half way. We stood there and stared
"Go check it out" Kat whispered, hugging closer to me. I looked down at her, like she was crazy.
"Are you kidding me? I'm just about to piss myself just from the door opening!" I screech and stare at her.
"Ugh, you're such a baby" she said, and let go of me. I followed her up to the door.
She reached out and pulled it open all the way.
We both let out a Yelp.
There was two skeletons propped up against the wall, ones arms were wrapped around the other, and the other had needles in her skull."You were right." She whispered. I could tell that she was crying, but I left it be. I grabbed onto her hand.
I stared at the skeleton that was holding the other. I noticed that there was a black ink pen beside it's hand. The floor was covered in the brown from outside of the room.
"Look on the wall" Kat whispered.
My eyes traveled to the wall next to them. Letters were scrawled out across the wall in brown.
"I have a headache" I read. She looked at me.
We stared at each other for awhile. Then the skeletons, then the message.
What happened here?
Our Walkie talkies began to fill up with fuzz.
"Guys we found something cool, we've gotta meet up" Cams voice rung throughout the talkie.
Kat looked at me before grabbing her Walkie talkie. "So did we..." She answers.
......
We decided to meet in cell block C, everyone was slowly making their way to it. Eventually everyone was here."So what did you find?" I asked staring at them.
"A journal, about what was happening here" Andrea smiled and handed us a note book.
We all read through the pages slowly.
Every now and then I would run across the statement "I have a headache" my heart hurt a little with every one I seen.
"So what did you find??" Andrea asked.
"Follow us..." Kat replied and we all walked slowly down the hallway.
When we got to the room, the door was still opened and everything remained untouched.
"Okay, so a room?" Dan said, looking at us like we were insane.
"No, it's in the closet" Kat said, walking towards it. We all followed.
They all gasped when they seen it. "Wait, that's Vincent" Andrea gasped and observed the message.
"He wrote that in every journal entry after he got that thing done" she said, running her fingers over the letter.
"Did his journal say anything about who's with him?" I asked, staring at the unknown skeleton.
"No, but he did say that they were killing people, maybe it's one of the people. Maybe he cared about whoever it is." She said, picking up the black pen.
"His last entry was written in black pen"
"Why would they keep him and the other person in this closet? Do you think that Vincent is the reason why the hospital closed down?" She asked, looking over at us.
We all looked around. "Let's find more evidence" Dan said, looking around for everyone's answer.
"Yeah okay." Everyone replied.
I looked down at my phone. The time said 2:30 AM
