*Shawn's POV*
I didn't really think that splitting up again was a very good idea. I mean, i'm not as scared as i was before, but it's still not a good idea to split up after we found Vincent and that girl. It's not like they were recently killed, but it's still terrifying.
Me and Kat walked through Cell Block C, searching for journals, notes, patient files, or to the extreme, bodies. We didn't really find anything. The rooms were all dull and grey. They looked as if they would make you crazier.
Kat and I laid in a room, just staring at the ceiling.
"I love you" She whispered. I turned my head and looked at her.
"We're laying in a dead guys dusty bed." I giggled. She looked over at me with a smirk.
"Nothing better than the smell of dust in the morning" she laughed
She stands up and pulls me up with her.
"Where are we going?" I question, following her
She keeps pulling me until we enter a really large room with a desk in the back. The ceiling is high, and the walls are oak.
"What is this room?" I whisper to her, looking everywhere, observing.
"Looks like the bosses." She says, looking over the desk.
She runs her fingers over the desk and picks them up to look at them. "There's this reddish brown stuff on here, almost like a puddle, but dried." She says, moving her fingers to her nose. "It doesn't have a smell." She says, wiping it on her pants.
I walk over to it and examine it too. "It kinda looks like blood." I say shrugging, but then i realize what i had just said.
Both of our faces dropped and we sat there staring at each other. "You don't think do you?" She says, looking down.
"I was just kidding." I try to assure her, but it really does look like blood.
She moves the chair from in front of the desk and looks down on the ground. The floor under the chair is covered in little brown spots, and then a medium size spot.
She looks up at me, almost confirming my accusation. "Lets look around here more." She says with a smile, trying to keep the fear hidden. I nod my head and turn my back to a file cabinet.
I blow on it, filling the air with dust. I cough and fan it out of my face. "Well, i can assure you that people haven't been here in awhile. The dust on this cabinet is insane." I say to her as i open up the top drawer.
She moves over to me and flashes her light on the files too.
"There's so many files in here." She said as she reached in and grabber one from the drawer.
She props it on her arm and opens it up.I turn back to the filing cabinet and search through the folders looking for any evidence on what happened here. My fingers run over them hastily, looking for something, and then my fingers stop. My eyes catch sight of a folder with a brown hand print on it.
I pull it out quickly and open it. The file is for a patient named "Sally Tahill" My eyes scanned the paper for anything on why this specific folder would have the bloody hand print.
I flip the paper so i can see the next one in the folder, and i scan it too.
most of the information on it was just why she was here, and how she was doing, you know the typical stuff. And then my eyes stop on a specific word.
Lobotomy.
i looked over at Kat to get her attention, but she was already looking at me.
Except she wasn't looking at me, she was looking behind me.
*Ashley's POV*
Daniel and I left to cell block B. There wasn't much in there, besides grey walls and grey floors. The dust covering the different furniture was suffocating if you accidentally bumped it and sent the dust flying.
Daniel continued to walk, and i just hummed all the way down the hallways, running my finger across every wall. The place was dark, and the lights didn't do much to help, so i focused on my finger to make sure i didn't hit a spider, or any other creepy crawler. The place was cold and damp, i could see my breath in front of me. the black sweater i had purchased wasn't doing much.
It was hard to focus on Daniel because he was wearing black, too. I focused on his light, and moved closer to him.
"Where are we going?" I squeaked, wrapping my arms around his arm, he shrugged but flashed me a smile. He never was a talker, only when he was with me or our group.
I smiled back and nudged into his arm, focusing on walking forward. He suddenly stopped and turned to a door.
"In here." he mumbled and pulled me in with him. It was a bathroom, not like a toilet or anything, but an actual bathroom, bath tubs and showers lined the walls, each broken or dirty. He looked around, just as a dripping noise sounded.
"I was following the dripping noise, by the way." He said smiling, pulling me closer to him. "It's annoying. I want to fix it."
I nodded at him and listened closely to the source of the sound.
nothing sounded as i listened closely, and then finally drip we both moved towards the noise, it sounded like it was in the room off of this one.
We walked slowly, listening again for the noise, we reached the doorway and then drip.
He reached into my backpack and pulled out a handheld flashlight, and turned it on.
I looked around the room from the doorway with the light on my head, and i watched Daniel as i walked in and slowly looked for the source.
Drip
this time it wasn't in the room, it was somewhere in the main bathroom.
Daniel looked at me, then behind me. We walked quickly trying to find the source.
Drip
It was like we were going crazy.
Drip
it was louder this time, quicker too. And it was back in the room again..
Daniel stopped and looked at me, fear in his eyes.
"It's like the hospital has a mind of its own... What kind of creepy shit happened her?" He stuttered, shining his light everywhere. He then stopped it at the corner of the room.
I turned around and stopped, my heart felt like it stopped too.
and then there was a scream...
