Chapter Twelve: You What?

"I seen the thing." She shuttered. "It wasn't human."

my body was numb, i couldn't think of anything but something horrifying with sharp teeth, glazed with Daniels warm blood. "shh..shh its okay." I whispered, trying to make it seem like she was making it all up.

She stared at me, tears streaming from her eyes. "I'm not making it up Andrea, not this time. Its face... it... it was awful, there was blood everywhere, it was dressed like... a clown... why was there a clown in an insane asylum.." She sobbed, squeezing my hand.

"Where's Kat and Shawn?" She asked, looking around. "It got them too.." She said almost instantly. "That first scream, it wasn't me." She said.

I stared at Cameron. He lifted up his walkie-talkie "Kat, Shawn, are you okay? where are you?" There was silence for a second, then fuzz. "We're okay.. but something freaky Just happened." Shawn said quietly, you could hear small sobs coming from the back.

"Where are you?" He asked. we waited for a second. "The wardens office... just meet us here." he said quickly.

We all looked at each other. "We have to find Daniel" Ashley said, searching our faces, "We have to find him that thing got him." She said.

"Lets go get Shawn and Kat first, that way we can cover more ground." Cameron said, looking at both of us.

I could practically hear the screaming in Ashley's head, she looked like she was going to break down crying. Her eyes glassed over and she nodded, grabbing onto my arm.

it hurts to know that we have to wait to find Daniel. it hurts to know that my best friend is hurt too. the poor girl has gone through a lot.

We began to walk again, slowly making our way through the halls. It was dark and smelled like mold. The air was filled with dust and you could hear Ashley's sobs in the back.

We walked slowly looking into the rooms as we passed to look for Daniel. The rooms were dark without our lights, and even when we shined our lights the darkness of what happened here when it was open made the rooms darker. The walls were cracked at the cement holding the blocks together. They were caked in dust and mold, and didn't look like how they were supposed to.

I looked forward to Cameron, I couldn't imagine what I would feel like if this happened to him. If he got dragged away by some clown covered in blood. That's the love of my life in front of me. I can't see him gone.
I pulled Ash closer to me and rubbed her shoulder. "We're going to find him I promise." I whispered to her, and kissed her forehead.

She didn't say anything, she just pulled me closer and continued walking. It was probably late at night now, maybe 3. My phone died so I had no way to tell time.

But it didn't matter what time it was because we were going to stay here until we found Daniel.

We reached the cell block with the wardens office finally and turned down it. We walked slowly, prepared for whatever made Kat scream.

The hallways were even more wet in this cell block, and it smelled even worse. Ashley if even possible, pulled me even closer and sniffled. She was a mess. My heart ached for the pain my best friend was in.

We finally made it to the wardens office, the door was closed. Cameron knocked slowly on the door, like he was interrupting something. The door opened slowly to reveal Shawn, and then Kat crouched. We walked in slowly, shinning our lights on Kat.

"What happened?" We all said at the same time, now looking at Shawn. He didn't say anything, he just turned and looked at the wall.

Our eyes followed his and our lights hit the wall.

Blood was sprawled out across the wall in messy words saying "I have a headache" followed by a bloody handprint. Chills went down my spine.

Vincent.

We all looked back at Shawn.
"And.. I seen something. A clown. He was covered in blood. But before he came, the wall was oozing blood and the floors were overflowing in it too. It was ... like a horror film."

Ashley froze and stared at him. "The clown. What happened to him."
"He disappeared when the second scream came. Why?"

She then broke down in sobs. She fell to the floor and I followed her. Kat crawled on the floor over to her and held her with us.

Then Shawn finally realized "where's Daniel?"
She let out another cry
"What's going on?" He stared at us, his voice cracking.

"The clown... took Daniel. He was there one minute, then their lights cut out, and when Ashley's went back on he was gone. No where in sight."

"Maybe he left. Maybe he's just playing a prank on us. He is a prankster." Shawn said.

Ashley stopped crying and looked at him. "I know he's gone. He wouldn't do that to me. He's not like that."

"And that's where we need you guys. We need to find him." Cam said, looking between us all.
"Daniel is in trouble, and we need to find him before something terrible happens. He's our best friend. Pranking us or not we need to find him now."

Kat looked at cam and nodded, she pet Ashley's hair as she cried.

"There's no time to waste" Kat whispered, standing up off the floor.

"We need to make sure he's okay. That thing wasn't human." Ashley and Shawn said in unison.

"That thing... is dangerous.." Ashley whispered, wiping tears off her cheeks.

I stood up and helped Ashley up with Kat. We dusted off our jeans and stared at our two friends left.

"Let's go. Precious Time is wasting." Cameron said. We all followed him out the door into the gross hallway.

This was a time in need. We needed to find Daniel now.
