-Michael-

"WELCOME TO THE PARTY OF THE YEAR!"
I laughed as Luke screamed out at the huge crowd of high school kids all packed into his living room.
Typical Luke throwing parties when his parents are out of town.
Luke came up beside me and slung his arm over my shoulder.
"Go mingle, Clifford!"
"Nah I'm good."
He rolled his eyes playfully.
"Loser."
"Your loser."
"Gay."
"Only for you, Hemmings."
He laughed and shook his head while looking around.
"Come with me."
Luke grabbed my hand and pulled me down a dark hallway.
"What are you doing?"
"You'll see."
Luke pulled me into an all too familiar room and shut the door.
"What are we doing in here?"
"Talking."
"Well no duh."
I sat on the bed and Luke sat next to me.
"Mikey, I need to talk to you."
"Well then talk!"
I looked around the room. I looked anywhere but at him.
Why did he have to choose this room out of every other room?
"Mikey look at me."
I looked into Luke's clear blue eyes.
"I know you remember."
My eyes widened.
"Remember what?"
"Mikey it all makes sense. I remember the beer bottle sitting on the table. I remember you hooking up with a girl that night. You always said being gay was gross but you were just trying to hide your true feelings."
"Luke what are you getting at? Yes, in gay. So what?"
Luke grabbed my hand.
"Mikey, you and I both know what happened in this room."
"Luke stop it. You were drunk. I was confused. No need to dwell on the pa-"
I felt a soft pair of lips on my own.
The kiss ended as quickly as it happened.
I was very close to Luke now.
"It didn't take much to connect the dots. You run that Instagram that sent me songs. I'm the boy you've loved since we were still in middle school. I'm not stupid, Mikey."
"I never said you were stupid."
"I love you so much."
This time I pulled Luke to me and kissed him with more passion and force than I've ever kissed anybody before.
This time it felt right.
This time was perfect.
Almost.
The door swung open and Luke jumped away from me.
"What the hell?" Arzaylea screeched.
I looked at Luke and Luke pretended to be confused.
"What? What's happening?"
Luke was slurring his words.
Luke wasn't drunk.
He stood up.
"Woah Mikey dude I don't swing that way."
He turned to Arzaylea.
"Baby I'm just a little drunk and I think Mikey is too."
"I'm not drunk! And you aren't either!"
Arzaylea snickered.
"He's obviously drunk. Dear God, Michael, you really are a fag."
Tears stung my eyes as Luke laughed along with Arzaylea and walked out of the room with her.
Luke glanced at me with a sad expression and mouthed sorry.
Sorry.
Sorry wouldn't fix things.
Sorry wouldn't take away my humiliation.
Sorry would fix my broken heart.
Sorry is worthless.

-Luke-

"Yes! He really jumped on Luke and started kissing him! And poor Lukey was too drunk to comprehend anything. I always knew he was a fag."
I wanted to roll my eyes at everything that came from Arzaylea's mouth.
Ha joke's on you Zay, I like dick too.
I smirked a little at my own thought but my smirk quickly turned to a frown.
I had just completely humiliated the love of my life. And why? To protect my reputation? Was being gay really that bad? I mean, he made me happy. What's so wrong about being happy?
"Luke?"
I felt a pair of lips touch my own and I pushed the person away.
"Not now Mikey."
My gaze snapped to Arzaylea as both of our eyes widened.
"Did you just call me Michael?" She screeched.
"It's the alcohol baby. I'm sorry."
"You don't sound drunk. Which is odd because just a few minutes ago you were slurring your words."
I bit down on my lip nervously.
"You're a little fag too. Aren't you? Are you kidding me?!"
Arzaylea pushed me.
"Is anybody here not into guys?!"
"Get out."
"Excuse me?"
I raised my voice.
"Everybody leave. Right now!"
I stood off to the side as people shuffled out very obviously confused.
As Arzaylea left she shot be a dirty look.
"Bye fag boy. Go find your little boyfriend."
So instead of screaming and freaking out I did what any sane person would do to a self centered little bitch.
I flipped her off and slammed the door shut behind her.
