    Jonathan's POV- 2 months later- Jackie: 8 months pregnant

    I drove home thinking things over. How many papers do I need to grade this weekend? None, Scarecrow answered, everything is going to hell tomorrow. I furrowed my brows. This weekend?

    Jackie and I have already been questioned by the police a few weeks ago. I've been doing petty little crimes here and there. The police get sucked deeper and deeper into our lies. They don't suspect a thing anymore. They've been trying to find the others but with no luck. The police think there's a new threat, a new villain. Batman has been searching high and low along with his little family.

Cat has been watching out for us whenever she can. She's already caught Batman trying to snoop in on us more than 10 times in the past week. Pathetic. We're.... "sane" now. I parked in the lot and went up to our apartment. Jarvis was there sitting on the couch as always. He's refused to leave.

     "Hello! Jackie's in your bedroom resting. She made some food for herself- ice cream with fries," he informed me. I smirked and rolled my eyes playfully. Strange food concoctions 24/7 were what she ate. Other than pizza. I sat with Jarvis and rubbed my forehead. He looked over at me with a small smile.

.........All hell is gonna break loose tomorrow.

~~~~~~~Next Day- Jackie' POV~~~~~
I carefully sat up from bed and got up to dress. My stomach has grown so much; I'm to the point in pregnancy where you're paranoid your baby will fall out at any time now. I'm close to 9 months so you can't blame me. Although childbirth isn't like that at all...I'm still paranoid! I pulled on a striped shirt and big black pants. My eyes caught my reflection.
I held my stomach and smiled. You're almost with us fully, I thought. I fixed my hair and was surprised to see Jonathan eating a sandwich on the couch with Jarvis.
" Why are you eating a sandwich?" I asked with a yawn. Jarvis burst into laughter. A small smile played Jonathan's lips.
"Because, dear, it's 4 pm," Jonathan answered with a deep chuckle. My face suddenly felt hot. I crossed my arms and sat next to him. He snuck his arm around me and I leaned my head on his shoulder. Jarvis clamped his hands together and grinned at us. We're used to this by now. He tends to become happy when he sees us having moments like this, even ones this simple.
"It's going to begin soon.." Jonathan murmured. I nodded and buried my face in his hair. He softly chuckled and put his hand on my stomach. Jarvis began to frown.
"Two Face.....," he started," You need to be hidden and protected Jackie. What if he tries to harm you tonight?" Jonathan furrowed his brows.
"Turning a night of triumph and victory into a night of pain sounds like something he'd want to do," Jonathan growled. I glared down at the floor. My eyes softened after a moment and I held Jonathan's hand tightly.
"I'm not going anywhere," I said sternly both to Jonathan and Jarvis. Jonathan remained silent. Jarvis got up and hugged me for a bit. A loud explosion echoed. We all looked at each other.
"Let's go," Jonathan told me taking my hand in his. He dragged me along to the bedroom and starting pulling up some of the floorboards. I stared in confusion. When did he make this? It was a secret little room with enough room for only 3 people. Jonathan put some water bottles, a blanket, snacks, and a book in the hole. He jumped in, his chest and above still sticking out, and motioned me over.
"I- I don't think I can get in there," I said nervously. What if I accidently hit my stomach? Jonathan wrapped his arms around me and slowly pulled me down. I sat down and he jumped out.
"Jonathan where are you going?" I nearly shouted in worry.
"Don't worry, I'll be right out here, love," he reached down and connected our lips. We held each other's faces in our hands and slowly pulled apart. Our hands still held each other's until they gradually slipped away from each other. A small whimper escaped through my lips when Jonathan covered up the entry.
Darkness is all I see. I hear everything. Every step, every voice, all the chaos. I hear it all. It seems as if it is surrounding me. And all I can do is sit here and do nothing. It's nearly driving me insane. Well, I guess I'm already insane. Yet, it seems as if I'm swaying back and forth from the two- sane or insane. My humanity is still here, that's pretty good.
How much time as passed? It seems like eternity. I sigh quietly and continue to sit. Every once in awhile I'll take a sip of water and eat some chips. A loud bang and smash awoke me from my thoughts. I became alert and stayed completely still and silent.
Step, step, step, step, step. Creak. Step, step, step, step, step. A deep growl from above, it's Jonathan.
"Honey, I'm home!" A voice rang out with loud laughter. My eyes widened but soon narrowed.
That prick.
