Jackie's POV~

"Where's Violet?" I ask Jonathan. I hear him mutter and hear loud clanking sounds. Whether it's from inside the house or outside I have no idea. The crime has only gotten worse. While Jonathan has thoroughly enjoyed taking in "patients", I've been fussing over safety. God I am boring.

"She's sleeping in her crib at the moment," Jonathan answers rounding the corner with our son. He gives me a sheepish smile. "I'm still working on getting this one to sleep."

I sit on our bed and hold my arms out to Jonathan. He carefully places Andrew into my arms and sits besides me. He's taking after me, looks wise. Violet, however, is still an even 50/50 of the two of us. I'm sure she'll end up looking more like Jonathan. I let out a deep sigh before I begin to hum a song. Andrew begins to coo and his eyelids flutter shut. After only a few minutes he is fast asleep in my arms.

"Your voice is ever so angelic to us," Jonathan says quietly. I smile at his compliment and lean into his side, looking down at Andrew.

"We have a lot of work to do don't we, dear?" I say quietly. I feel Jonathan begin to tense up slightly.

"Yes, we do," he replies with a sigh. "Everything has gone too far...for long enough."

I wasn't over exaggerating when I said that the crime has gotten worse. In all of this you may ask, but where is the Bat family?

Catwoman has taken down Nightwing as well as Robin. Batwoman has been out of sight, appearing every so often to stop a crime or two. However, she's always been by herself. This goes without saying that Batman seems to have retired. Either that or Joker or Catwoman got to him.

There's very little the police have been able to do. Most of the police force has relocated to outside of Gotham City to keep themselves safe and to contain the violence from spreading out.

Jonathan and I have had our fun. But what is dark without a bit of light? Everything has become a bit boring to say the least...

"I spent a month in the asylum to be granted as sane. I got my job back. We get what we want. Yet, there's something missing," Jonathan said. I bite my lip and walk over to our children's room to place Andrew in his crib. I double check the baby monitor and leave the room to find Jonathan waiting for me.

"I've been working on some arrangements for them. Prototypes for them to use. Over time of course they'll be fixed and we can adjust them," I explained to him.

"Perfect," he smiles.
