It was a nice walk back to the flat, with a cool breeze every now and again to cool me off. As i looked up to the deep blue sky, i replayed what just happened in my head. Everytime i thought of Calum speaking, i would get butterflies in my stomach. But i didn't want to feel like that. I shouldn't, not after last time. To distract myself i plugged my earphones in and searched for Demi Lavato's album. For some reason i really loved her music she made when she was just starting out, so i played the song 'la la land' and started walking along to the beat.
After about 10 minutes of walking i reached the entrance of our flat building. It was so nice to be hit my the breeze of air conditioning after being out in the schorching heat. I went to turn my music off, but stopped when i saw the name of the song that was playing. It was 'Heart attack' by Demi Lavato. I'd never really listened to the lyrics before, but this song just felt like it was for me. She talks about falling in love would be bad for her because all boys would be jerks to her. Sounds fammiliar i thought to myself as i climbed up the last couple of stairs to Megan's mum's flat.
"Hey Meg, you in?" I shouted, only to see her coming out the kitchen with flour all over her.
"Erm, i had a little incident" She laughed
"What are you doing?" I asked, trying to stop myself from laughing
"Well, i tried to make cakes, but it kinda failed" She replied, going red. I was debating to tell her about me seeing Calum or not. I could tell she missed Ashton, but i didnt want her to give her hopes up. But then, i couldn't lie to her, i told her everything.
"Hey Meg, quess who i bumped into today"
"ONE DIRECTION?!" She screamed
"Erm no, not that exciting! I laughed, as her face turned from a smile into a frown.
"Who then?" She asked
"Calum" I said, trying to sound casual. Her face lighted up at his name, as she raised her eyebrows
"Was Ashton with him?" She asked, in a hopeful tone.
"No, it was just him, but Cal said we could go over there sometime" I said, as she gave me a 'i dont think thats a good idea after what happened last time' look. "But i doubt Racheal will be there, dont worry" I assured her. She just sighed and nodded in agreement.
"So how's Calum?" She asked.
"He's...different" I replied. It made me think of my conversation with him again. God, now even the thought of him made me shiver. What was getting into me?
