Chapter 18: I've changed..i promise

A few weeks later, i found myself packing my bags ready for London, where i was travelling to the next day to visit Calum. I wasnt really an organised person so i just chucked a load of clothes in and shut the bag. I usually liked packing, but today i was just too excited to even care because all i could think about was seeing Calum again. I missed his face, and his cute little smile. I especially missed his voice, because it could cheer you up instanly, and i've been needing cheering up for a while.

My best friend Megan walked into my room with about ten suitcases and a rather large hand luggage bag. "Hey Brooke, have you seen my tooth brush?" She asked parking her suitcases next to mine.

"No, but i was gonna buy some travel ones for us anyway" I replied, then pulled a confused face. "Meg, why do you need all that stuff?" I asked

"Well, its England..you need lots of layers right? Coz its cold and that..." She said fiddling with the handle of one of the suitcases. "Do you want me to go get some disposable brushes then?" She asked standing up and patting her clothes straight.

"No no, i dont mind going, i still need to get a few bits for my cases anyway. I'll meet you at the beach though after if you want?"

"Yeah okay, i'll meet you there in ten?" She asked, getting her sun cream on, ready for our last sun treatment before heading to the cold country of England.

I quickly grabbed my bag and headed for the supermarket down the road, looking through my list of toiletries, checking i had everything for tomorrows long flight. The sun was directly in my view so i couldnt really see where i was going. I ws just about to cross the road when i crashed into a strong muscular body.

"Oh, err, sorry, err" I mumbled stepping away quickly. I couldnt really see him properly so i put my hand up above my eyes to block the sun. Slowly his featureres became more clear and i could really see what he looked like. It was wierd because he looked so familiar.

"Its okay..you should look where you're going though" He said with a wink at the end. Damn, this was annoying me, he looked so familiar. "Brooke, you remember me right?" He questioned, raising his thick eye-brow. And then it hit me. His blonde shaggy hair was still the same, but a little shorter. His face was more defined and his body was way more muscular.

"Get the fuck away from me Charlie" I spat at him, pushing him away as i went to go cross the road. But he was too quick and caught my arm, focefully pulling me back into his view. "Let me go" I said sternly.

"Brooke please listen to me" He pleaded, but i wasnt having any of it and tried to break free from his lock.

"I said LET ME GO" I screamed as people around stoped and stared, none of them helped though. Just stared. As was Charlie, just staring at me.

"Brooke" He took my chin to pull my face up into his gaze. "Please hear me out...i've changed...i promise" His eyes look sad and...inviting. "Prison's really changed me. Im sorry for everything i've done, i really am, please can we go get a coffee or something so i can explain?"

"No we can not, i have somewhere to be" I said, tugging my arm away from his hand. He was too strong, and i struggled to release myself.

"Brooke, all i need is 5 minutes, i really need to talk to you, please" He said with plead. His eyes were telling me that he really meant what he was saying. 

"Okay, you've got 5 minutes"
