Chapter 12

A week has passed after Cass' and Lyndon's funeral. The pain hasn't fully recovered, but I am happy now, special thanks to Sav, Angel, and especially Jerkton. Yes, Jerkton, he hasn't been really a jerk for the past week, but I call him that because I can. He and his group of friends hung out with the three of us during lunch and after school, it's unusual, annoying, and cheap since boys suck but Sav and Angel enjoy it so much that what I think doesn't even matter anymore. Well, it's kind of an advantage since Colton and the jocks prevent those stupid, fake kids from sending fake sympathy to us, which I think is the most exasperating thing in the world.

"What are you thinking of?" A voice popped out beside my ears that made me bolt from the blue.

Ah, screw you, Jerkton.

"Where's your manners?" I snapped.

He smirked, "are you on your period?"

"No, but you make my blood boil," I said, putting my fingers to my temple.

"Yuck, Acacia!" he squeaked. Ugh, how feminite can this guy get? I told you I can never co-exist with him. "Do you really like me so much that I make your vagina blood boil?"

WHAT. A. FREAKING. PERVERT.

"Ugh! As if," I replied while imitating Cher Horowitz from Clueless. "Jerkton, you are such a douchebag! Don't talk to me ever again." I smacked his shoulders as hard as I can.

He smirked again. My inner thoughts say that he is such a sex god but then why does he have to be an asshole?

OMG, Acacia, snap out of it.

I feel my cheeks burning. Gotta run, gotta hide! K, thanks, bye.

"Where are you going?" Colton caught up to me.

"Don't follow me!" I shouted.

"Uh, hello? We have a project?"

I almost forgot. Ms. Brown = Satan. Colton = Satan. This project = a gift from Satan.

No, Satan, not today. "Do it yourself, you devil!"

"Fine," Colton paused. "I'm sorry I am such a jerk."

I scowled at him, "Thanks for stating the obvious?"

"At least I'm sorry, how about you?" He gave me a sly smile.

"Why should I be?" I replied confidently, putting my hands on my waist.

"For being a brat?" He laughed teasingly.

"Bye," I walked away. He's a jerk before, jerk now, jerk in the future and a jerk forever.

Colton blocked my way. "Just kidding! Look at our new project, it seems fun."

I rolled my eyes at him and roughly grabbed the small paper he was holding.

"What the hell is this?" I laughed.

"I know, it's quite nonsense," his face seemed to be so bored.

Still laughing, I said "but I thought you said it was fun!"

He sent me a confused face, "don't you get it? I was being sarcastic." I don't believe him even a little. He likes corny stuff like this, so much for a delinquent.
