You walked into your room with only the dim light of your laptop illuminating the room. With a low chuckle, you can't help but think to yourself: it's really cool how light can both defy and define the darkness.
But, you know, random thought.
As you walked to your laptop and held your hand out to put the screen down, you saw a (color) sticky note stuck on the side. You opened the lamp beside you for more light and to read it.
'There's something that you need to check.' – Steven
From Slamacow? All you knew from
your best friend was that he was out to buy some things, and he wouldn't be back until ten in the evening. You looked at the time, and it was only 6:30.
Opening your laptop, you saw a paused video ready to be played. In curiosity, you hit play.
"Oh my."
Your mouth dropped at the video: a full two-minute animation of you and Slamacow's Minecraft personas reenacting your best moments together. The camping trip, the time you moved in together, the time he taught to you how to animate. In the end, the words "Happy Birthday (Your Name)!" showed as it shifted to a drawing of you and him eating cake.
"Happy Birthday," you heard a voice as your turned back to see the man standing at your doorway with a slice of cake. Smiling, you rushed to him, placed the slice of cake down and hugged him.
"So that was the project you've been stressing on for the past 3 months," you laughed, playfully smacking him on the shoulder. He let out a low chuckle as he ruffled your hair.
"Also (Y/N),"
"Yeah?"
Slamacow took hold of both of your hands and stared into your eyes. You stared into his as he took a deep breath.
"I just want to say that you're amazing and that you really have been supporting me ever since we became friends,"
"Which was when I asked how many frames you use in your animations," You said, grinning. He smiled down at you, and you couldn't help but melt under his gaze."
"And now, I think it's the best time to ask..."
"Will you be my girlfriend?"
You smiled like an idiot and immediately tackled him.
"Of course! I love you."
"I love you more."
