I was in my room, busy looking at the strategy plans that had earlier arrived from one of his officers that were on the front line. A knock was heard at the door, and I opened it. Bruchus was standing on the other side, and I invited him inside.

"Hey Bruchus. What's going on?"

"Nothing much. I just came from a scouting mission, and just wanted to tell you what had happened."

"Then get on with it. Anything to get me away from reading any further than what I am doing right now."

We both sat down at the chairs that were in the room, and Bruchus began to speak.

"We came across a small battalion of Zurk's forces near the entrance to the physical world. We fought them back into the underworld, and secured the pass for ourselves."

"Zurk had positioned them at the entry? What is he up to?"

"We are not sure right now, but for all we know, he's planning something devastating to either us or the humans. We captured one of his warriors, and so we would like it if you interrogate him. He's at the main camp facility under very tight security."

"Ok then, let's go. Although it was dangerous to put him at our main camp, I hope for our sakes that you had blind-folded him before bringing him into the camp."

"We did that. He came into the camp completely bound and temporarily blinded, and is still is."

"Nice work. Let's go and we can find out what Zurk is planning to do."

As we proceeded towards the main camp, my mind began to wonder. As I remembered the event that had happened back at Skye's apartment when Zurk tricked me into exposing my earthly help, I had vowed to uncover everything that Zurk had intended for us, especially if it had involved Skye and his eventual life. I knew that Skye's life was already in danger, especially since I had earlier received reports that the forces that were protecting him were being constantly attacked. I had sent a larger force then, but I still feared for Skye's life. I then uttered a silent prayer to the gods, and although I had my doubts about them hearing them, I still had hope that they were heard anyway.

The main camp was a buzz of activity the moment we entered. Everywhere, warriors rushed around providing supplies and weaponry to other warriors. Some had stopped to salute me and Bruchus as we passed them, while some of them were surprised to see me for their first time. They would surround me and ask as many questions as they could, but with Bruchus's help; they would be told to wait for an appropriate time before they would talk to me. I was especially surprised to see my troops, most of them for my first time. I was amazed at the diversity of the troops, as many were from the different time periods history had to offer. There were those from my time, those who were from the Roman, Greek or Babylonian time straight to those from the World Wars and even from those of the current time that right now was being experienced on the earth. I was especially grateful that none of my warriors looked to be deserters, since most of them had been killed as I was, or they were sympathisers to my cause and for what I stood up for. Many of the warriors had heard of what I had done and what I was to do due to the prophesies that had been proclaimed throughout the years, and thus had decided to join me and fight for me at whatever cost. However, they had no idea that I myself had no knowledge of any of the prophesies that had been proclaimed and that for my part, I had seen my struggle as a curse that I had been given and not as the salvation that it was supposed to bring.
