Queen Melina silently wept as she watched what her son was about to do to her.
Earlier, her son had called her into his room, whereby as Lozi had ordered, she was quickly overpowered by his guards, gaged and taken out of the palace into the forest during the night. She had been taken to a lit clearing within the deeper parts of the forest, where she had been bound on a pole that was earlier put up for her. Lozi came a few minutes later, having been surrounded by a few of his guards, and carrying with him his priced sword that his father had personally crafted for him.
"Hello, mother. Such a nice evening to kill you, isn't it?" He said, very slyly.
The queen just looked at her son, and began to cry.
"Remove her bonds and gag! Ensure that you completely close up the clearing and keep it clear of any intruders!" He ordered his guards, and then just watched what they were doing.
Once her bonds and gag were removed, she ran towards his horse, kneeling down and crying out to her son to spare her life. Lozi only laughed, and then using his boot kicked her on the head. She fell a few meters from the horse and Lozi dismounted. He walked over to her, knelt down and took hold of her head in his hand.
"Listen, mother. Your begging will do you no good. You would rather just save your breath for you will need it, believe me." He let go of her head and walked towards his horse whereby he took his whip and stood, waiting.
The queen painfully lifted herself up, even as she rubbed her head where she had been kicked. She looked at her son and saw that he held a whip that she knew full well that had a metallic hook at its end.
"You will pay for what you did to me mother! For all those years that you tormented me together with dad, you will pay!"
He immediately charged towards her and before she would react, he had already knocked her onto the ground and was furiously hitting her on the head and the stomach. He stood up and using his whip, he tied it around her neck. He began dragging her on the ground, and the queen was forced to stand up to avoid further injury and tightening of the whip around her neck. He forcefully pulled it away from her and immediately, she cried out in pain. The metallic hook had caught her squarely on her lower jaw and ripped open the skin. Even as she tried to regain her bearings, Lozi had again flicked the whip and it caught her mother right on the back, ripping her flesh and causing her to cry out in pain again. She fell to her knees because of the force of the whip but Lozi was not through with her yet. He used the whip again and this time it wrapped itself on her neck again. He pulled back on the whip, causing her mother to fall on her back and then dragged her to his direction where he again knelt down and began beating her again. She could not take any more of the beating and began fighting back. She pushed him off of her body and scrambled to get up again. She had to flee or else things would be worse on her. The guards that had been posted, however, refused her to pass and instead beat her and then pushed her back into the clearing where Lozi was waiting for her.
"You cannot escape me mother! Tonight is your time to die!" He said, and charged at her.
He took her up in his arms and slammed her against the tree. The force of it pushed out the air from her lungs, but he did not care. He picked her up again and threw her onto the ground where again he proceeded to beat her. She fought back with all the strength she could muster, but Lozi was too strong for her. He continued to whip, beat and throw her around until she collapsed and passed out due to the amount of blood that she had lost. Lozi ran up to her and checked to see if she was still breathing. When she still was, he dragged her towards the pole and tied her up.
