It was now the weekend, and after our kiss Braden went right back to not talking. But for some reason he still thought coming over this weekend was a good idea. I didn't know how Dan would take it, when I told him Braden wanted to come over. "Hey, Daddy?" I said, quietly since Phil had his head on his lap. "Yeah?" He said in a whisper, still looking at Phil was playing with his hair. "Could my friend come over?" This got his attention, knowing that I was probably talking about my boyfriend. "Who is it?" "Braden" I said hesitantly. "Your boyfriend?" He said, skeptical. I nodded, and in response he sighed. Scared he was going to get mad at me again, I started to say never mind, but he surprised me by saying I could have him over. "Really?" I said shocked. He looked down at the now sleeping Phil, smiled softly and nodded to me.
Braden was coming around soon, and I was picking up my room, when the doorbell rang. I ran out to the living room to answer the door, but noticed Dan was already there. Braden looked very nervous, and I could tell Dan had said something to him. Once Braden noticed I was there, He looked at me, probably figuring Dan would notice. He did.
Dan turned around, and upon seeing me, he walked away and said "Keep the door open." and I just nodded.
After leading him to my room, I sat at the desk and pulled over another chair that I had purposely pulled over before he got here. He came over and sat down not talking. "Hey" I said, he just slightly nodded, still looking at the floor.
After a couple minutes of this he looked up, and took in the decorations of the room. He noticed my 5 Seconds of Summer poster. He made a weird face and pointed to it. Still not using his words. "Yeah, that's like my favorite band." I smiled. but I noticed he rolled his eyes, and the first words came out of his mouth. "So you like fake boy bands?"He said, quietly. "Hey, they aren't fake and they aren't just a boy band." I said, getting defensive. "Whatever." he finally said, but I could hear his voice waver like a scolded dog. However I didn't feel bad about it. He can't come into my house and start insulting my favorite things. "Wanna play video games in the living room?" I was getting sick of him not talking and rolling his eyes at my posters. He shrugged and I took this as a yes. I stood up and walked out the open door, and saw Dan sitting there, back facing me. I lightly kicked him. He jumped to his feet, and his face flushed. "Hey, want some dinner." He asked quickly, shifting the attention. "Why were you sitting here? and you know he isn't staying for dinner."
"Well I had something on my foot, so I sat down to get it off?" but he said it with what sounded like a question mark at the end.
"Whatever, Dan."
The whole time Braden just stood there, not saying anything. "Do you speak?" Dan asked. "Dan!" I hit him lightly on the arm "That's rude." "What? All I've heard from him is him insulting your taste in music." Dan shrugged. "So you were listening to us?" "Stop trying to change the subject PJ."
I turned to Braden and asked him if he wanted to play video games, and he nodded. We walked past Dan, who in turn fake pouted, but followed us downstairs, him turning to go into his room. Phil was sitting on the couch, and he moved over a bit so we could sit and play games. We pulled out Mario Kart 8 and started playing, Phil making some commentary seeing as I was the only one talking out of me and Braden.
We played video games for the rest of the time he was here, and when his mom pulled up I walked him outside, around the corner where no one could see us, you know except Dan and Phil who I knew were probably looking through the window. I hugged him and said good bye, then watched as he walked over to his moms car and get in, them driving off.
I walked back inside, seeing the messed up blinds. "Have fun watching us hug?" I said, slightly annoyed but mostly amused. Dan slightly blushed, and Phil didn't say a thing. "How about we order food and play video games. It is Friday, I can stay up as late as I want." To this they both perked up. I always knew what they wanted most at times like these. Food and video games.

It was now Saturday, and all three of us had stayed up late playing games, but I could smell the burning of pancakes on the stove, so I got out of bed, still in my totoro onesie and walked into the kitchen. "You know, we got that for you for Christmas but I think this is the first time I've ever seen you wear it." Dan said, flipping the charred pancake. "Yeah, because normally I get changed, but when I smell burning I know you're cooking and need help." I said, amused at him being shocked I actually wore the onesie. "Hey, you don't even know how to cook." He said, looking offended, but I knew he was just playing around. "Oh yeah, step aside." I picked up the spatula, taking the black pancake and tossing it in the trash. "Hey!" he exclaimed, "I made that." He said, actually pouting now. "Yeah, and it was burned beyond anything syrup could fix." I said, sticking my tongue out at him.
I made a pancake, waiting for the perfect time to flip it and take it off the pan. I slid it onto a plate he had put aside. "Okay fine, maybe you made a better pancake." there was a pause. "How do you know how to cook." he asked, genuinely confused. "Well, I do watch you guys videos, and I saw the one where you made British pancakes, so I figured I would try it out sometime, when I actually had a friend who lived in a house. They moved away though, but when they were here I got to learn how to cook." He just nodded, obviously understanding a touchy subject when one came about.
I continued to cook, seeing as Dan wasn't too great at it. Phil woke up half way through, and he came into the kitchen, starting on making some bacon, some soft for me, and crunchy for both of them.
We ate breakfast and decided that we wanted to go out into town, as it had been awhile. We decided to go shopping, since Dan had put a hole in the butt of his jeans.
We had just left Topman, and were walking to ASOS when we bumped into Braden and his sister Hailey. "Oh, hey" I said to Braden. He just nodded, but his sister who I had never met started teasing him. She had the body of an athlete maybe a soccer player or ice skater. Her hair was past shoulder length, dark brown with bleached high lights.
"Oh, is this your girlfriend." She was messing around with him, he seemed uncomfortable. But he still looked up at her and said "Yeah, this is PJ." He had talked, not to me, but he had talked. "So he can talk." Dan cut in. "Yeah he can, we can't shut him up sometimes." Hailey said and laughed. Braden just blushed. "Well we were just out doing shopping, so we'll see you later." Phil said, noticing how nervous Braden looked. Hailey was still having fun teasing him, we said goodbye, and as we walked away I heard her say something about not being so nervous.

We got home, Dan with new jeans, Phil with another galaxy shirt, and me with a new pair of shoes. It was a lot of fun, but I was now tired from staying up late and going out all day today. So Dan made stir fry, and I grabbed my phone, connecting it to the TV and introducing them to the world of 5 Seconds of Summer.
As we were eating on the couch, broken home came on and Phil finally asked who we were listening to. "Who is this by?" Phil asked. "This is 5 Seconds of Summer, my favorite band." "Oh yeah, didn't we get you a phone case with them on it?" "Yeah" and that was about the end of our conversation, but I noticed Dan in deep thought. But he often was so it didn't phase me.
Soon enough after eating I went to bed, dreading that tomorrow was Sunday. I didn't wanna have to go back to school so soon, it was slight torture with Braden acting the way he does.
I got settled into bed, with my phone plugged beside me, quietly playing a recording that I secretly took of Dan playing piano, when I got a text. I looked over at my phone.
From Braden: Good night <3
I smiled and quickly sent back a text saying something similar, then went to sleep.
