The Babysitter (Luke Hemmings)

Chapter 18

After we were dismissed me and Isabella went to the front of the school

I looked in the parking lot to see Luke waiting for me standing against his car

I walked towards him "Hi" I said pecking him on the lips

He opened the door to my side and allowed me to get in

I find it weird that he didn't say It back he normally does

"I'm sorry Lillie, I have to do something  real quick" he said getting out of the car at the nearest stop sign he got out and dialed someone he talked on the phone with them for a couple minutes and then angrily got back into the car

"Everything okay?" I asked him

"Just dandy " he said clenching his jaw

I've never seen Luke like this honestly it scared me a bit

He took a turn I didn't recognize

"Where are we going home is that way" I said pointing towards the left

"I have to stop somewhere I hope that's okay" he said calming me

We drove up to a cemetery

"Why are we here?" I asked he got out and walked to the other side and opened my door

I walked out and followed him

"In loving memory of Liz Hemmings" the headstone read

"Who's is this?" I said even though I pretty much could tell

"My mom she died a couple years ago the person I was talking to on the phone was my brother, Jack he told me to come and check on her headstone that it would help me heal emotionally"

We stood their in silence I rested my head on his shoulder I noticed him sniffling I grabbed him into a hug

"It's okay babe just let it out" I said as he cried more

We stayed for 2 more hours just sitting with her I looked at her headstone "loving mother wife and daughter" it read

I stayed with Luke as long as he needed to be here

It was 6:30 by the time we left I wasn't made when we got to the car I plugged my phone in and called my mom to let her know that I was coming home

Within 30 minutes Luke and I made it home

"You okay" I asked before exiting the car

"Yeah I am" he said looking at me his eyes were getting teary "Luke baby" I said hugging him "I love you very much Lillie I don't want to lose you" he said in between sniffing

"I love you too come stay the night with me I don't want you driving home in this weather" it was the time of year where it would get rainy and wet as well as cold  the fog was unpredictable and I didn't want Luke to drive home in it at all

"Okay" he said turning off the car and getting out I grabbed my bag and got out walking to Luke he wrapped his arm around me as we walked up to the door

"Mom I'm home" I said walking in Luke went to go and find Anthony

I went to go find mom

"Mom" I called "I'm over here in the bathroom"

I walked to her bathroom

"Can Luke stay the night the weather is getting really nasty outside" I asked

"Yes of course he can" she said wiping the glass of her mirror  I went and started helping her

"How was your day" she asked me

"It was okay Luke took me to see his mom"

"Oh how wonderful" she said

"Almost I didn't know that she had passed away I felt so bad Luke was crying uncontrollably I didn't know what to do besides hold him and tell him it's okay"

"That's okay that's what your supposed to do lil you know how he feels" I did know how he felt I finished helping mom and then went to find Luke screaming at the tv him and Anthony were playing games as usual

Luke noticed me and moved over and patted the spot next to him I went and grabbed a controller and started playing with them
