Alexis' POV

As I walked closer towards him, I saw Dakota with him.'Crap.Next time' I thought to myself.As Grayson and I walked in,we lined up to get our food.When we made it to the front,I ordered a fruit cup with Mushroom and Shrimp alfredo,(a/n : I was hungry af while writing this chapter so...)
Meanwhile,Grayson ordered chicken with mashed potatoes.Grayson took my tray and helped me towards an available table ."Do you know what they do to those innocent animals before they're frozen and stuff?" I questioned him as we sat."Uh,de-feather them and cut them up?" I chuckled at his response."No,but you know what never mind,we're eating" I replied.I am a vegan,so basically you could consider me an animal lover and a veggie freak.I used to eat meat,but after I learned what they did to the animals,I became vegan at age 13.
"You're a vegan.I'm not.Youre slim,I'm uh..you know..fat." He chuckled."You're not fat Grayson Bailey." I replied."I'm out of shape and have a terrible middle name.What next?" (a/n : his middle name is perf.) "Its not that bad" I said shyly."tru,tru." He said while grinning.
A few minutes later
As we were almost done,Grayson's friends came over.His friends were Jack Dail,Kenny Holland and Aaron Carpenter."Hey my brotha!" They said in unison."Hey guys" Grayson said calmly."Hey,Alexis.What happened to your foot?" Kenny asked."Hey Ken,and this thing?It's from a minor basketball injury" I replied.It was quiet for a while,then Aaron spoke ."Whoah,you're a tough girl and uh,are you guys like,on a *cough* date?" ."I guess you could call it what you want." I said ."We haven't been on an official date yet bu-" "But that's going to change." Grayson interrupted ."Alexis Jean,will you do the honor of going with me to the state fair tonight?" "Cheesy,but cute. Why not?" I replied.He smiled and put his arm around my neck,and gave me a kiss on the cheek.His friends wooed us,and few minutes later ,we left.I said goodbye to Grayson and made my way towards my computer science class,and went in.I limped towards my desk and saw that Ethan was in here too.I know he's not in my class,but he was probably assigned here because his teacher was out or something."Okay class,today we are going to present our mini reports.I know you all have sent them to me,so you could go ahead and find yours in my laptop" Mrs.Walter said."Any volunteers?No?Well then.I'll start picking. Ah,here we go.Now class,this one was one of my favorites.The owner of this essay is Ms.Alexis Lancaster!" She announced.
I wasn't hesitant,I wanted to read this and at the same time I didn't.I didn't want to get scolded,so I walked towards the board and opened up my file."Okay,My essay is about the one and only Michael Jordan,who is also my inspiration. And as you all know,I play basket ball.Mr.Jordan is the reason why.It all started when I was 5.My dad was watching a Bulls game on TV.I saw the way he was playing and right then and there,I was fascinated! One shot,two shots,three shots,four!Michael Jordan was on fire!I told my parents and they let me play for an outside basketball league for girls.From there,I progressed well.This is why I thank Michael Jordan,for inspiring me and motivating me,for nearly a life time." After I said all that,my colleagues applauded.As I walked to my seat,Mrs.Walter tapped me on the shoulder and said "Good luck with the whole WNBA thing.Hope you get picked!"she said cheerfully."Thank you ma'am" I replied.That must've spread around the whole school.

I then made my way to my desk and put my crutches aside.I later heard a familiar voice " Michael Jordan is the reason why you play?" "Yeah,No shit sherlock " I replied.I turned back and saw that it was Ethan."Geez."he chuckled ."Oh,sorry there" I replied.Was now the right time?To tell him the truth?I had no choice but to do it.It was a now or never deciscion."Uh Ethan,this is out of topic,but Dakota told me something."Oh man,here it to comes."She's,uh.Ch-cheating on you.With someone online.I'm sorry" I said .I couldn't take that back."Oh.well..t-thanks for....informing me" he said with a tear streaming down his face.For the remainder of the period,he kept his head down.I checked on him occasionally, and he was still in the same position.Sad and probably angry.

After class
After computer science ended,I limped a few doors down to my locker.I put my b/w computer science notebook away and got ready for 4th period.The last period of the day.Gym class.I grabbed my small gym bag and left.

As I made my way to the girls locker room,someone flicks my head from behind."The heck?" I said as I turned around."Hey biatch" Dakota said.Ugh,I forgot I had her in this class."What do you want?" I said in annoyance."I know you told him.And Thank you,now that I have that weirdo off my back,I can make my move on Grayson." She said with confidence."You broke his heart and proably his self esteem and newsflash honey boo boo,Grayson and I are dating." I snapped."Well,just a little advice." She hissed."Watch.Your.Back."

I didn't understand what she meant by that,but I'll take her word for it.After that little event,I walked over to a bench in the girls locker room,and changed.I put on a black dri-fit shirt,along with purple and grey shorts.I had a difficult time getting ready,but I managed to do it on my own.woo hoo.I didn't plan on participating,but if you dress out,you get points.Today,we were going to play indoor soccer.I couldn't wait to watch.Due to the fact that Dakota knew nothing about the sport.So I was planning on seeing bad passes and her getting hit in the face.

~While they were scrimmaging ~
My dreams came true.I tried not to laugh but man,that was just embarrassing for her.My gym teacher told me to be quiet and I did.Karma bish.

°After school°

As soon as school ended,I waited outside for my mom to pick me up.It took pretty long ,so I started to fidget around with the straps on my bag that you use to adjust its length. Later on,my car came and I hopped in,and put my crutches aside."Hey sweetie,how was school?" My mom questioned as I came in."Good,good.How was your day?" I asked "It was decent" she replied. And after that mini chat,we were drove outisde campus.We passed by a few houses,and then I saw Ethan and Grayson walking home.Grayson was on his phone,and Ethan walked aimlessly behind him.His hands in his pockets,and his head down.As my car passed by the two,my eyes were glued onto them, making my head turn back.I stopped and faced forward,adjusted myself in my seat and sighed.

AT HOME

As soon as we pulled into our driveway,I got out with my gym bag and book bag and entered my house. I stayed in the living room just so my mom wouldn't have to worry about bringing me up stairs.I went on my phone and saw that I had a few new messages.3 from Grayson,and 2 from an unknown number.I opened up Grayson's message first.
Grayson: Hey,change of plans tonight. Can't go to the fair.Ethan is not in a great mood and I don't wanna leave by himself.Sorry baby g.

Alexis: its ayt,but is it okay if I stop by?

Grayson:No need to ask.Come whenever :)

I turned off my phone and told my mom that I was going .I went out and limped my way towards their house.I finally made it..in like 4-6 minutes.Our houses weren't far from each other.They were just 2 houses away.So basically I wasn't going that fast .I reached their front porch and pressed their doorbell.Mrs.Dolan answered the door.She later asked about my foot and I explained to her."Wow,that was a harsh thing for that girl to do." She said.I agreed with her."Is Grayson in his room?" I asked."He sure is,and would you like some help up stairs?" Mrs.Dolan asked."Yes please" .As we made it up,I thanked her and made my way to their room.The last time I was here,it went horribly wrong,but I had nothing to worry about."Gray,you in there?" I questioned."Yeah,come in Lex." I walked in and saw Grayson slumped onto his bed and Ethan sleeping on the opposite bed.I went over to Grayson and sat beside him ."How's he?" "Not so good.He's been sobbing for a billion hours." Grayson said sitting up."You do know why he's crying though ,right?" I questioned."No..I actually don't."he replied.

I explained to him why he was sad and he actually got furious.I then told him about Dakota using Ethan as an excuse to get close to him,and that she told me to "watch my back"."You'll stay with me no matter what.R-right Gray?" I asked shyly."Of course.Who wouldn't want to be with you?" And wit that,I smiled at him."and sorry about the whole date.We'll have it this Friday.I promise." He said. "Any thing's fine with me as long as I'm with you" I said with a smile.
