Jakes POV

Iva, so small, so..... Defenseless! She is someone that I will get close too. Some that I will look after when she needs me, she will be my best friend and I know it!

"Hey Jake? Listen, I just don't understand, why am I the only one that can see you?" She asked as we were driving out the school gate, we has struggled to get the keys, of my car, I couldn't remember where I put them. WHOOPS!!

"I really don't know, but in all honesty, I'm kinda glad that someone can, but the thing I'm most thankful for is that it's you" I looked straight into her eyes, she smiled. "If someone had told me that they friends with a soul I wouldnt believe them." She said laughing.

"You know, its a pleasure Jake." I said to finish what she said and what I wanted to hear her say, quit annoyed actually.

"Oh, whoops sorry, it's a pleasure Jake, but why me, why are you happy it's me?" She asked with confusion and a sad voice really.

"Why not be happy it's you?" I asked but I had no idea what to expect. "Well, I'm the nerdy type, guys like you don't even look in my direction let alone at me." Her eyes started to tear up.

"Iva, you are beautiful, and you need to know that. I'm glad it's you because if I had to be stuck with some bitch that thinks the light shines out their ass, I would slap them silly." I told her and she actually giggles, cutest giggle I have ever heard.

Before you even think, no I'm not, I'm not falling for her, I just fell close too her. What I feel for her is more like an older brother more then anything else.

She deserves someone who too look after her, she needs someone to be there for her, when she's down, when she needs to get something off her chest, and I would love to be that person, be the one that would do anything for her, be her best friend.

I just really hope that this wont be it, I hope that I do wake up so that I can be someone that can be really, really be there for her.

"Iva, I'm sorry, for everything, this must be so shit for you, you should be thinking that you are going crazy, but you not." I was speaking and my mouth was moving but I didn't really know what was coming out.

"Its not, I know I'm not going crazy, I just know it, you are here because I can see you, and....." She stopped for a little while she was thinking about what to say, but she knew it, she just thought about it. ".... Feel you, I can feel you!" She looked at her hands like she didn't believe what she was saying.

"Thanks you" I said so fast that her head shot my direction that I heard her neck click. "For?" Iva asked extremely confused. "You stayed, you here, you are just here."

The tears started to fill up in her eyes, and it was starting to roll down her face, I felt bad, really bad 'You are a guy, get a grip!' The little voice in my head is going to drive me crazy, it needs to shut the fuck up.

"Jake...." Her voice was shacking and I have no idea what she is going to say, I'm actually starting to worry.

"Jake..... Listen....."

Iva POV

"Jake..... Listen......" My voice was shaking I was shacking, my throat clogging up, all I want to do is cry, I just wanted to cry and cry and cry, but only a few tears rolled down my cheeks, I cant afford all of them to fall.

"I'm here for you and always will be, but I'm not the strongest person out there, I will break down, I want to help you but I just can't be strong for you." The tears started to flow faster and faster.

"Hey.... Hey" his hand flew up and took my hand away from the steering wheel "You don't have to be there for me, I want your friendship more that your sympathy." He look straight into my eyes, my eyes started you fill with tears and a shit load of them.

"I need to stop here, I cant see." I pulled over and as I stopped the car he got out and walked round, opened my door and took my hand and lead me out the and took me to behind a tree bush type thing and he hugged me all he did was hug me not saying a word.

"What.... What.... Was that for?" I asked him more confused than ever. "You needed it so I gave it to you." All I did was hug him tighter, "Why here though?" I asked and he giggled like a little boy, "Well people are going to look at you weirdly if you hugging nothing." I saw his point and we both started to laugh out lungs put.

We sat behind the bush for hours, talking about random things. Most fun I have had in a long time.
