Elizabeth was feeling rather in the good mood, sitting in Snape’s chambers and reading The Daily Prophet. He approached her with a cup of tea in his hands and handed it to her. “Thanks” She mumbled, not taking her eyes of the paper. There was a picture showing the dark mark and article telling about his return. The paper was snapped from her hands and with a smirk Snape opened it and pretended to read. “Oh no you didn’t.” She said, narrowing her eyes. In attempt to take it back, she managed to rip it in two. A couple of seconds passed by before laugher filled the room, Severus covered his eyes with a hand, trying to calm himself down.

Things had been good the last couple of weeks and it wasn’t long before the summers break. Severus kissed her head before leaving the room, having classes to attend to. With a lot of convincing and apologizing Elizabeth had managed to get her job back. But today she had the day off. Sighing she made her way out of his chambers, thinking she should do something useful.

The halls were silent and her footsteps meeting the stone floor sounded higher than usual. Around the corner came McGonagall, holding text books. Not paying any attention to what she was doing, Elizabeth crashed into the prim looking woman and they both fell over. “Sorry, I am sorry.” She mumbled, picking up the text books Minerva where holding only seconds ago. McGonagall didn’t look too pleased; she did not like Elizabeth, not one bit. In her point of view Ms Taylor was the same sneaky death eater she had always been. McGonagall snapped them out of her hands and had to hold the urge not to spit out an inappropriate comment.

“Is there something I can help you with?” Elizabeth asked, hoping McGonagall wasn’t as angry on the inside as what it looked like on the outside. She received a clear no before the woman in her 70’s left. Elizabeth watched as McGonagall walked out of sight and looked longingly after her. She still remember when she was a student and McGonagall her teacher.

She had so much respect for the Professor. Elizabeth’s first couple of years, before she had begun practicing dark magic Transfiguration had been her favorite subject. She had looked up to the prim looking woman and tried doing the best she could in her class. She had come prepared and longing to learn.

Elizabeth hurried after her and just took up with her before the Professor entered her classroom. “Wait, Professor!” She said, panting. McGonagall didn’t look pleased, not at all. “I-I just…” She didn’t know how exactly to form her words and she realized that now was her chance. She could see McGonagall lose her patience and enter her classroom. It would be filled with students in around ten minutes so she didn’t have much time.

Elizabeth fallowed after her and began talking. “Do you remember when you were my teacher here at Hogwarts?” She asked, thinking fast. McGonagall didn’t answer, but she didn’t interrupt her either. Maybe because she actually wanted to hear what Elizabeth had to say or just that she was a polite woman. “Look I just want us to be friends.” She said sheepishly. It was silent for a while before McGonagall straightened her back and spoke with a very clear voice. “That chance is already used up Ms. Taylor, so if there isn’t anything else, I would like you to leave.” It was silent for a while and Elizabeth felt a little bit numb in her stomach. “Okay.” She mumbled, nodding her head and turning around. On that point students filled the room and she just ignored them.

Snape didn’t come back after dinner. Occupied with something. Not until late at night he approached his chambers. Elizabeth hadn’t meant to wait for him, but she honestly didn’t think he would use that long time. “Where have you been?” She asked casually. “Detention. He grumbled. Elizabeth narrowed her eyes when he turned his back at her to take of his cloak. “Oh really, with who?” Her voice didn’t sound suspicious, but she knew she had to be careful, she was after all talking to the man who was a master of being suspicious. “Potter.” He said kissing her cheek. Then he yawned, something he never did to somehow tell her he wanted to rest. “Okay, see you in the morning then.” She replied and left his chambers. Walking up the many stairs to her room.

She could have sworn she saw Potter walk pass her in the hallway, when he was supposedly to have detention with Snape. Maybe she just was being paranoid or was longing for something to do so badly that she made up accusations. But a part of her thought something suspicious was going on. Before she went to bed she lit the fireplace with a wave of her wand and climbed in. The room she was lying in seemed rather big when it was just her and she kept staring up in the sealing. Thinking of every possibility, but when the clock turned one she figured she had to sleep. Charms exams were coming up tomorrow and she had to be prepared.
