Gi Melin (I Love You)

Chapter 23

When the doors opened everybody stood up. Aurelea and her father walked down the aisle. She looked straight ahead at Arthion. She stood tall and was dressed very nicely. She was shaking a little bit, and Legolas knew it, so he put his other hand on hers. When they reached the end, Arthion walked down the steps. Legolas took his daughter's hand off of his arm and went to Arthion. 

Legolas leaned by Arthion's ear and whispered, "Take care of lellig (my daughter), Arthion. Cause if you don't, I will have to come over and put an arrow through your leg."

Arthion was happy, but a little nervous after Aurelea's father said that. Legolas walked back to his daughter. He gave her another kiss on the forehead and took her hand, giving it to Arthion. Legolas took his seat next to his wife and grabbed Tauriel's hand. Arthion led Aurelea up the steps. They took the hands of each other and began the ceremony.

Everything went perfectly for the ceremony. Aurelea and Arthion became Mr. and Mrs. Elessar. The ceremony had ended and it was time for the after-party. Everybody was talking to someone and having fun. Legolas, Faramir, and Aragorn were talking to their friend, Gimli. Tauriel and Arwen were talking to each other, along with Eowen. Thranduil and Elrond were talking to other elves.

It was now time for toasts, so the family of Arthion and Aurelea took their seats at the table in front of their guests. Everyone had some of their meals before they began the toasts. The first toast came from Elboron and his wife. Followed by Arwen, Elrond, Aragorn, and Tauriel. Legolas walked up and was began saying his toast.

"Well I just want to say congratulations to the new couple and I hope everything goes well. I would also like to say that I am proud of you, Aurelea. Ever since you were little, you didn't experience much, mainly because I was very protective. But it seems like you did just fine. When Aurelea came into my life, I only had one thing to do in life, and that was to keep her from danger. And boys."

People gave a laugh before Legolas continued in his toast.

"I made sure lands were safe to cross and kingdoms weren't engaged in war. I prepared myself for the worst, but I did not prepare myself for this day. I knew eventually she would bring a boy into her life, but I thought I would have more time. I see now that I don't have to worry anymore. I know she made a good choice. So I want to say thank you to Arthion, for coming into my daughter's life and I wish you both the best. To Arthion and Aurelea."

Everyone raised their glasses and repeated, "To Arthion and Aurelea."

Arthion kissed Aurelea on the lips before everybody continued to eat.
