Chapter 33

Seung Min and I happily accomplished learning our parts for Touch, Alone and Sherlock in just one lesson. With that, we walked out of class with proud smiles.

"I don't know about you, but I'm already excited for this assignment!" I beamed, as I clapped my hands excitedly.

"Yeah! I'm excited as much as you are! We just need to make sure we get our choeography right." Seung Min breathed out after downing some water.

Before entering Maths, we celebrated our achievement with an exchange of a high-five. We walked into the class with most of the students seated whilst chattering with their groups. Seung Min and I attended our seats which were beside eachother.

"So, I was thinking for the next dance session--Ow!" Seung Min was interrupted, as he rubbed his palm on the back of his neck with slight pain in his expression.

I turned behind to notice the group of douches behind, snickerring amongst themselves with paper planes in their hands.

"Gay boy!" one of the guys from the douche group spoke up, making the whole class turn to us.

My mind was all of a sudden alerted by his comment, as I made a quick move to slam my hand on their desk and shout at them fiercely. "Shut up! At least he's not an asshole like you idiots!"

A few members of our class whispered and the rest remained dead silent. The guy who spoke out chuckled, as he leant towards me with amused eyes. "Admit it whore, you like gays, don't you?"

I clenched my fists, my teeth and my bones were stiffening. I raised my pursed mouth with anger before firing back at the guy. But before I could even let a word out, Seung Min cupped his hand over my mouth and pulled me back to face the front.

"Just ignore them." he whispered as if he wanted to give in. The teacher entered the class and magically the douches sat down in their seats again. I could feel that my face was red, either from anger, embarrassment or even both. I let out a big puff of air and gazed to the whiteboard in front, trying to calm myself as much as I could.

Of course, I hadn't forgotten about babysitting at Maria's. Once the three of us stepped into the house, the two toddlers welcomed us with enthusiastic hugs and their hyperness. Maria bent down to the toddlers' height with her hands hiding behind her back. "Guess what I bought for you two monkeys!"

In an instant, the toddlers attempted to go around Maria to see what the surprise goodie would be. Maria stepped back and disapprovingly shook her head. "Uh, uh! If you want your surprise you have to stay and be quiet first!"

I observed the tactics that Maria used to have control over her cousins, and I thought that it was quite clever. The two obeyed, as they stood up with straight backs and puppy eyes. Maria paused for a while to created suspense, then pulled out two packets of chocolate coated Pockys. The toddlers cheered and grabbed their packets, of course remembering to use their manners before running off into the theatre room.

"Should've given those to them at a better time!" Seung Min suggested.

"I think that they deserve to have their treat now." I opposed his idea.

"I agree with Anna." Maria giggled, as she rested her head on my shoulder. "Minnie, you should make some Korean snacks next time!"

I wanted to choke on my own saliva from the nickname she'd given to him. Instead, I let out a snort and bursted into laughter. Seung Min joined too and gave Maria a weird look. "What did you call me?"

"I think Seung Min is too long for my tongue to handle. Minnie!" Maria smiled.

"Fine, fine...just not in public." he agreed and nodded his head.
