"Anna!" that recognizable voice which belonged to none other than my mother called from downstairs. I let out a deflating sigh as I shut my laptop closed and lazily walked out and down the stairs. I really didn't want to be called down as I knew it was just another tutoring session.
As I made it down the middle of the staircase, a group of people from the ground jumped out, all cheering 'Surprise!'. My palm rapidly attatched to my chest, recovering from my mini heart attack. I managed to let out a smile as I realized that the people downstairs were my family and B1A4.
"What's all this for? My birthday's isn't until months!" I wondered, making it down the stairs in a faster pace.
"Just a little celebration for your up coming exams!" Jinyoung explained with a grin.
I let out a scoff, thinking that there was no such thing. "Trust me, there is nothing to celebrate about when it comes to exams."
Everyone laughed, creating a muffled sort of sound.
"A good luck celebration then." Baro corrected, pointing his index finger out. Everyone agreed with nods and 'ahh's, the Asian way.
I came to notice that there were boxes of KFC set out on the dining table. My mouth watered as the smell trailed into my nose, triggering my stomache te shout 'KFC KFC!'
"Can we please eat?" I asked no one in particular as my eyes were glued on the food.
"Yes!" The boys eagerly agreed as we all sat around the dining table.
Dad said a short prayer before digging in, blessing the food and thanking God for the food.
"Amen!" everyone chorused after the prayer. Everyone reached in to help eachother fill plates or just selfishly fill their own plates. Selfish me just quickly took all the food I needed, just one plate full as I was starving.
As we ate, CNU brought up the conversation. "So, how are your studies going?"
"Mmm, kind of hard at first, but then things tend to make sense after a while." I answered, earning a proud smiled from mum.
"Well, not to brag, but back in my highschool days I was the top student." CNU said while picking on a bone.
"Really?" Mum beamed with her eyes widened. CNU nodded with his eyebrows moving up and down.
"Scored the highest in all subjects." CNU continued, explaining his lifestory. CNU did look like he could've been a geek in his highschool days with his thick framed glasses.
"Your mother must've been proud!" mum said, bringing out'proud' as she gave me a look.
"Hey! Maybe academics isn't my thing!" I defended my self as I pulled out a bit of my dinner roll.
"How did you start music then?" Dad said, makin everyone ignore my comment.
"I had a hobby of singing, so one day when I was mature enough, my uncle introduced me to WM Entertainment's boss and then I continued on with auditions and training then our debut." CNU briefly explained.
"So you threw away all your knowledge just like that?" Mum asked with a bouncy voice.
"No way, I'm still using my knowledge in my everyday life and I sometimes use it to tutor Gongchan." CNU explained, nudging Gongchan beside.
"Ah, okay." Mum nodded, as if she was finally satisfied.
Suddenly, the doorbell rang, alerting everyone. Mum let out a small gasp as she licked her fingers, leaving her seat to answer the door. She swung open the door, revealing an Asian boy who looked around my age dressed in skinny jeans, a Korean styled shirt and a beanie on his head.
"Hi, you're the tennant staying with us, right?" Mum assured the boy. 'Staying with us?'
The boy nodded with an eye-smile. I couldn't quite capture his face as the sunlight covered it. Mum welcomed the boy in as dad got up to help carry his things in.
"Sorry, I forgot to tell you that there was a last minute decision on allowing a tennant to stay over." Mum explained, face palming her forehead.
I looked over to examine the boys face. He definitely was Korean as he had the typical Korean eyes and the Korean fashion. I looked around the table to see the shocked and alerted reactions from the boys. They all studied the boy carefully, staring him from head to toe. The boy then shyly waved with a charming smile which reminded me of Lee Hyun Woo from the Korean drama To the Beautiful You.
"Please, join us!" mum gestured the boy, giving him no choice. He took the seat next to mum and next to Sanduel. He raised his eyebrows as he noticed who were sitting around the table.
"B1A4?" he half-gasped, tilting his head in to look at the boys sitting further away from him. They all nodded and gave him warm smiles.
"Do you want to introduce yourself?" mum asked the boy as she placed a plate and his cutlery infront of him.
"Um, hi, I'm Choi Seung Min, but you can just call me Seung Min." the boy began with his impressive but influent English accent. "I'm sixteen and I'm from Busan in Korea."
I gave him a nod and a grin as he looked my way. "Nice to meet you, I stay here, so I hope we get to know eachother well."
"Ah, yes, me too." He grinned, nodding his head.
That smile was so cute as I gazed and smiled at him. His teeth were perfectly straight and his skin was so much more clearer than mine. He was so beautiful that I wouldn't be surprised if he was just another k-pop star in the making. I really was looking forward to spending more time with him and getting to know him better.
In the corner of my eye, I noticed Baro staring at me as I was about to eat.
"Yes?" I smiled to him, expecting something that he wanted to say.
"Oh, nothing." he replied, shaking his head with a small smile.
