Just as any other day, Ray sits on a bench near his high school, waiting for his friend Gerard to arrive to wait for the bus with him.
He yawns, and his phone beeps, letting him know he has a new message.
He opens it and reads:
Gerard: hey sorry im late i had to pick my brother mikey up. hes going to b taking the bus w us 2
Ray: okay thats fine :)
Ray puts his phone away and sighs. He has heard a lot about his friend's younger brother, Mikey, but had never met him.
Gerard adores Mikey, always managing to fit him into a conversation. Ray knows so much about him, he basically knows him personally.
It's not long until he sees Gerard walking towards him, hand in hand with who must be his younger brother, who was sucking in a lollipop.
Gerard smiled and sat down, Mikey in his lap, still sucking on his lollipop.
"Hey Ray." Gerard greeting casually, smiling.
"Hey," He responds.
Gerard looks at Mikey.
"Go on, say hi to Ray," Gerard urges, nudging the younger boy.
Mikey looks up and smiles shyly, taking the candy out of his mouth to mumble a "Hi, Ray." Ray smiles and he and Gerard giggle at Mikey's adorable shyness.
Ray can't help but notice how cute Gerard's brother is, despite being a couple years younger than the Gerard and him.
After a few minutes of Mikey shifting restlessly, Mikey looks at Ray nervously.
"Do you have games on your phone?" The young boy asks innocently, making Ray laugh.
"Yeah sure, here," Ray gives Mikey his phone, showing him the folder of games he has for his niece to play.
Mikey thanks him, pushing up his glasses and clicking on a game excitedly.
Ray can't help at Mikey's lips as they curl into a smile, wondering what they'd feel like pressed up against his.
