VIII | The Gorgons

Percy POV

"Lets fight back to back!" As soon as I heard Annabeth say this I stopped my advance, which surprised the Gorgons, but then an idea popped up in my mind, I remembered that the last time I fought here there was a lake as soon as I thought of this I started planning 'damn you Athena' I thought.

The plan which I managed to make, while fighting a Gorgon and protecting my Girlfriend, was that we should try to lure a Gorgon to the lake and then trap them in a capsule of water for as long as we can while we try to get to Camp Jupiter as soon as possible. It was very detailed. What could go wrong?

Annabeth POV

Percy suddenly whispered "Let's Heal", it took me a second to understand him, but then, as if asked, the wind picked up and brought in the scent of water.

Only then did I understand his plan 'Did this seaweed brain just make a good plan?', so I went in for a stab at Euryale when I saw that she is prepared to defend herself I hacked at the snakes that she had for hair, while I was doing that I noticed that Percy was faring well with Stheno he dodged her claws, and turned around then while ducking under her wing he managed to cut her right side.

Stheno disintegrated into dust with a small vial of her blood, while I was watching that, Euryale struck me by surprise and all I managed to see before I blackout was a silver arrow flying above me to bury itself in the Gorgon's eye. 'Did that arrow smell like ozone?' then everything around me turned black.

Thalia POV

Thankfully lady Artemis agreed that I go to look for Percy and Annabeth, I think it is because she saw how pissed off I got when I heard that the jerks in Camp Half-Blood kicked him out because they thought that he was a traitor, 'How stupid can a person be!' all I managed to do so I wouldn't kill every single camper was that I tried to electrocute Theseus but the jerk was a son of Zeus 'aren't The Big Three supposed not to have any Demigods'.

As soon as lady Artemis approved the search I took with me two hunters,  Lacy a 14 years old dark haired girl who like her sister piper had kaleidoscopic eyes, which means that it changes color between brown blue and green, she was a daughter of Aphrodite, and Kayla a 14 years old blonde girl with blue eyes she was almost my height, who was a daughter of Apollo.

They both joined the hunt the last time we visited the camp and they turned out to be really great hunters they remind me so much of Phoebe and Naomi. They volunteered to join me for my quest to find Percy and Annabeth.

We finally found a trace after 3 days of searching, we learned that they will go to Camp Jupiter, so at once we went to San Francisco. On our way there I thought that I heard a shout on top of the hill that we were climbing, we were climbing it to check if we can see them going to the camp. When I heard that scream I knew instantly that Percy was going into a fight.

I started running as fast as I could to get there, as soon as I arrived I was mortified by the sight. First I saw Percy killing the first Gorgon, and then I noticed that Annabeth wasn't keeping her eyes on her enemy and Euryale managed to take the advantage and hit Annabeth while she wasn't watching. Thanks to my hunter instinct I drew my bow loaded it and shot an electrifying arrow at the monster.

By the way I forgot to tell you that I discovered a new power which was that now I can merge my electric powers with my arrows, but now is not the time for that.

After I shot the arrow I quickly went to her and ordered Kayla to check on her, after she started checking I assigned Lacy to stand guard with them. Then I went to Percy, he was devastated after seeing Annabeth fall. "How are you doing Percy" I asked

Percy pointed his sword at me and replied with a tiered voice "good, Thalia you should go back to the camp. I don't want to fight you" After seeing Percy point the sword at me, Lacy quickly aimed her bow at him "Stand down!" I ordered her, Lacy reluctantly lowered her bow but kept it ready. Percy didn't seem to be unnerved he just went on with the same voice "Thalia just leave me and Annabeth be. Because I will die before I let you take us back to camp", so now I understood why is he this hostile.

Percy POV

"Thalia just leave me and Annabeth be. Because I will die before I let you take us back to camp" I told her, I was already tired from the fight and wrecked after I saw Annabeth collapsing and a hunter checking on her lifeless body.

If Thalia chose to fight me she would probably disarm me in a couple of seconds, but all she did was say "Percy I'm not here to take you back I'm here to find you" she then hastily completed "There is only one week until the summer solstice, did you forget the threat that Tartarus made", it took me a moment to realize what she was talking about, "someone should go warn Camp Jupiter, take care of her" I told her and turned away to go down the hill. After a couple of minutes Thalia caught up to me and said "she is okay, it was just a strong hit to her head" then as if noticing that my spirit was raised she jokingly said "now let's go deal with the Romans".
