Chapter 9: No Time To Celebrate & Chapter 10: Chaos Awaits

~Chapter 9: No Time To Celebrate~

"I'll locate you on the vehicle's tracker." Said Reaper, I could hear him pressing buttons through the radio. "Your radio may recieve some interference, bare with me." Warned Reaper. Static sounds came from the radio again. "Good, your not too far from where we are currently. I'm going to give the radio to Titan." 

"Why, Titan?" I asked, a bit confused.

"Well, he's the medic." Explained Reaper. Rumbles were heard as he passed the radio over to Titan. 

"Ok, have you stopped her bleeding yet?" Asked Titan

"Yeah, I have, by the way, I don't think she's going to be able to walk."

"Why's that?" Right after he spoke a large crash was heard.

"The hell was that?" I asked, getting frusterated.

"Give me a break, I'm driving an undersized dune buggy with one hand." Said Titan. "We're nearing onto the area now. While you wait, try listening to some nice jazz music, it can really cal-" 

"Titan!" Shouted Reaper.

"Sorry, I'm just trying to lighten the mood."

"Anyway, she's not going to be able to walk because it seems somehow she broke her leg." I explained. 

Reaper started to speak. "Alright we're here."

I looked up and saw them come up to the garage door. "Damn, she's hurt pretty bad." Said Titan worry revealed itself in his voice.

"Is she going to be alright Titan?" The same worried tone was in my voice.

"Yeah, she'll be alright but I think if you didn't get to her when you did I think she'd be dead." 

Titan began performing some extra health procautions Onto Devi. Reaper gave me a pat on the back,

"Well kid, looks like you turned out to be a real hero." 

Titan moved the dune buggy out of the garage and into the street, the whole crew followed.

An assassin I've never seen before walked up to the scene.

"Yep, seems like the rook's got some style." said the assassin. I was about to defend myself when Reaper brushed me off, "Raven, don't be jealous just because Hilarious stole your lightning."

"I'm not jealous because of that, I'm just jealous because he has the darkness and you won't let him harness it." She said slowly caressing his chin.

Reaper nodded his head a bit in dissapointment, I ignored the gesture. "I have the what?" I said moving his arm so he had to face me.

"Dude, your not ready for it, yet, Master Jjing wi-" Reaper began to turn and Condor was leaning against the dune buggy. 

"And by the way, don't you ever touch him again!" She smacked the sass right off of Raven's cheek.

"Oh you little-" Raven looked up and saw another assasin jump down. 

"Oh woah, no way the Nightmare's in your squad Reaper, your hunting to find your recruits aren't you?" Reaper and the newest assassin did some sort of handshake.

I directed my attention to Reaper, "Who's he?" I asked somehow acting a bit calm through all of this."

"Hilarious, meet my brother Beast." He said reaching for a beer in the back of the dune buggy.

Before I had any chance to react, Titan loaded Devi onto the back of the dune buggy.

"Alright, I'm the only one here who can steer this thing, so why don't all of you hop on to the back."

"That's only because your the one who built it." said Reaper jumping onto the very top of the dune buggy.

"Wow, he's everything ain't he?" I said getting into the back with the rest of the crew.

"The only reason I'm staying here is because I want to be next to Beast." Said Raven, sitting between me and Beast.

"This crew just keeps getting better and better, doesn't it?" Said Beast, putting his arm around Raven. The buggy finally started moving.

"Oh hell yeah it does!" Exclaimed Condor.

"It's becoming such a great love & hate dechagon isn't it?" I joked.

the crew laughed, oh I'm already starting to love it here.

                                                         ~Chapter 10: Chaos Awaits~

We finally reached back to base, The sun was just beginning to emerge into full glory, baking  us in loving warmth. I looked down at Devi as we all begin to jump out.

"You really are taking a fond to her aren't you?" Said Titan, slowly approaching.

"What exactly do you mean by that?" I said still looking down at Devi, still unconsious.

Before I got a chance to hear to what his reply would be, Devi woke up.

"Hey guys." 

"Do you need help?" I asked kind enough to try to help.

She brushed me off, "I'm fine." Then she tried to jump off, "Not so fine! Oww, help!"

Titan, Reaper and I lifted her up. "Alright," Started Reaper. "I'll bring her to the med station." Said Reaper, walking away, then Titan turned to me,

"You should head home, Hilarious, we'll take care of Devi."I nodded. "However, give me your phone." I handed him my Military contact phone dad gave me. He put some kind of drive in it.

"Alright, you now have my, Reaper's, and eventually Devi's contact numbers. Come back here some time tomorrow, I'll have a gift ready for you then." As I left he reminded me that I had tomorrow off from school. 

Oh, the chaos that awaits me.
