~Chapter 15: Deadly Date~
"Devi, we should just leave." I said trying to keep the night alive. I shivered when I saw Devi get a look in her eye,
"Ohhhh... no we are so not leaving." She strolled up to one of the guys stalking us.
she made some sort of gesture and the assassin swung a punch at her, in response she simply ducked down and kicked him for a low blow that made me flinch.
"Aw, come on join the fun!"
"Well I guess I coul-" I received a hard punch to the nose. "Oh nobody nobody gets away from ruining my pretty-boy face." [LIES]
ruining my pasta I jumped onto the table and gave a kick to the spine to my assailant After a smooth landing I saw Devi in my peripheral vision make a disguised member stumble in my direction, quickly I grabbed his arm and whipped him into the back of a chair.
"Wow you can really hold your own can't you?" I said to her as she leaned onto my chest.
Apparently that small remark earned affection, wow I'm getting really good at this. Our little love scene was interrupted by a dumbfounded Yoshi.
"What the purgatory happened here?" He screamed, worried this event would create a dent in his pay. For the second time this night she reached into my pocket, and took out a decent section of my cash.
"Quit your whining, pay for it with this." She tossed him the brick of cash. Now slightly less concerned, Yoshi walked away with my money.
Bastard.
A ringing noise surged out from Devi's chest. She turned around and seemingly took her phone out from her bra.
"What Reaper? Yeah, yeah, yeah I'll be there in a half and hour."
When Reaper actually takes time out to call you, it's not good news.
"What did Reaper want?"
"Emergency recon, he told me," she started tapping my chest. "to tell you to get to Old Washington's Warehouse ASAP."
~Chapter 16: No Rest For The Wicked~
Devi vanished as I drove the hover-board into my house. No doubt mom was there cooking dinner.
"How did it go?" She asked as I ran by.
"Can't talk now thanks for the money -bye mom!"
"When you get back from wherever your going your giving me details."
I ran back upstairs to my room got my gear and headed out to Old Washington's. As I got on top the building Reaper was settled there with binoculars and Devi was just behind.
"Why are you wearing red heels?" I overheard as I approached. I made up a lie as I came up behind them.
"She told me it'll help increase the pain in her kicks." surprisingly that downed Reaper's suspicions.
"Hope you could still walk in those then, never know when a recon turns into a cha-" he stopped.
"Reaper, don't keep all the info to yourself what's going on?" Titan said from behind. Didn't even notice him.
"They got Condor."
Great, I don't see sleep in my crystal ball.
