Nathan's POV

I may have given up my player ways but that still doesn't mean I'll suddenly like school! I mean it, why in Zeus's name was school ever invented?! Besides all this learning is just so boring I can actually feel my brain rotting, the only thing that keeps this day bearable is my cute little boy, Danny.

Five more minutes of Circe's potion class and then I'll be free. I was thinking of taking Dan out on a date and maybe asking him to be my boyfriend, officially that is. I mean I've seriously been a good guy the last few weeks and I did kinda save him a month ago, you know risking my own life and all that jazz. Then again, I was also the cause why he needed to be rescued. And I slept with his best friend. And his brother hates me, sort of scares me too. Plus I somehow made even Cuan give up on me for a while.

While Daniel and Honer were collapsed and in bed Cuan had come to the infirmary, bitch slapped the fuck out of me and told me that I was a grade A jerk. At first I was a bit confused, I mean he's my oldest friend, he already should have known how much of an asshole I was.

Afterwards he proceeded to ignore all my attempts to say sorry and only after having a long talk with Honer, Oliver and Daniel he decided that I should prove that I was no longer the same guy as before.

so yeah, that's what I've been trying to do... I've made apologies to at least 200 people/beasts/teachers. I've tossed the whole 'bad guy' and 'player man-whore' act. I think I've become 'gentlemanly', I'm still working on saying stuff with tact and not being as easily irritated by others. Hell I even cleaned my room and stopped abusing my powers, well kinda stopped, sometimes.

I walked into the cafeteria and looked around for Dan. If I was going to ask him out, I should probably do it now since his brother was still sucking Honer's face off somewhere, they always come in late at lunch. And just for the record, yes, the big guy is still here. It's been about a month and apparently he just decided: 'fuck it I'm stayin'. Tate and Honer have been inseparable ever since Honor locked the nurse in her room and crashed the infirmary.

I finally saw Cuan sitting with Daniel at our standard table and made my way over to them. Cuan saw me coming and whispered something to Danny who just gave him a small nod before turning around to look at me.

"Hey Nathy!", yes, Danny called me Nathy and I loved it every time he did.

"Hey guys, what's up?", Cuan just closed himself off to his boyfriend on his phone and told us he'd make a call, and then he just left.

"I don't know, t-the sky?", Dan grinned and I smiled at his goofiness.

"very funny, Dan.", well okay, here goes, it's now or never.

"I actually wanted to ask you something... I.. uhm well.. fuck! I've never really, uhm, done this.. shit, okay here goes.. do you like.. want to go on a date? With, well, with me...", I heard myself speak and I recognized my voice but did I really turn into this weak softie who can't even ask someone out on a date?

Fuck me, I was always so used to just bang and hang. I used to be damn confident and didn't give a shit. I think I may have lost my swagger with all this being a good guy stuff. This wasn't me, come on, be a fucking man for once.

"Okay, let me do that again. Daniel, would you like to go on a date with me to the beach? I know I've been a jerk, I've been told so much that I'll never forget it again but I promise to not hurt or disappoint you if you say yes.", sounds better, a bit desperate but it'll do.

"Y-yes? Of course! *ahem* I'd like that.", I looked up at Dan and I laughed as I saw him looking super excited but he quickly composed himself and stood up to hug me.

I laughed as I hugged him tightly and kissed the top of his head. He leaned back a bit before carefully raising his hand to the top of his head.

"D-did you just kiss the top of my head?", he looked so adorable with that cute confused look on his face.

I leaned down till I was looking in his deep and beautiful storm colored eyes. I heard his breath hitch as I leaned in a bit more so my nose was near his ear and with my finger I stroked his jawline. I kissed him on his neck just under his ear and when I felt him shudder and basically radiate heat I knew he was blushing red and I couldn't help it but tease him a bit more.

"I did kiss you, and now everyone knows that you're mine thanks to your new hickey.", I leaned back and watch as Daniel gasped and his hand shot to were I had been kissing him, sure it was a little red but I wouldn't leave a hickey, I knew he hated the attention it would bring, he was way too shy for that.

As I was looking at his reaction I couldn't keep it together anymore and burst out in laughter, I was holding my stomach and stood there with tears in my eyes as Daniel looked at me like I just punched a puppy.

"I'm sorry Dan, I didn't mean it. You just looked so sweet, I couldn't help it but tease you a bit.. forgive me?", his face flushed even redder, if that's possible, but I also saw a hint of something I couldn't quite place flash through his eyes as his face set in determination.

"Nathy, are y-you playing w-with me..?", he was pouting and his face saddened, oh gods I'm the worst!

I immediately squatted down and looked at him as I pulled him close, I started shushing him and apologizing when he suddenly put his arms around my neck and gave me a short and sweet kiss on my lips.

I swear you could have knocked me over with a feather! He turned around grabbed his bag and looked at me before seductively telling me "You just looked so sweet, I couldn't help it.". He spun on his heels and made sure to sway his booty a bit while taking off. I was left on the ground, mouth open and ready to catch flies, trying to find out what had happened to my innocent little merman?!
