chapter 4

𝚔𝚎𝚕𝚜𝚎𝚢'𝚜 𝚙𝚘𝚒𝚗𝚝 𝚘𝚏 𝚟𝚒𝚎𝚠

I woke up feeling extra toasty, what the? I tried to sit up but was almost immediately pulled back down. I looked over and saw a peaceful-looking Devin sleeping beside me, and his arm was tightened around my waist.

I groaned as I poked his cheek, "Devin?" No response. I smirked, "Shit!" I hissed dramatically.

I saw Devin's eyes shoot open immediately, and he sat up at lightning speed. He worriedly scanned my body for injuries before breathing a sigh of relief and pulling me into a quiet hug, "What the fuck, princess?" He chuckled as he released me.

I heard my stomach grumble, "I'm hungry and you wouldn't wake up." He rolled his eyes and rolled back over. As I climbed out of his bed I heard his light snoring. 

I quickly walked into the closet, yesterday Devin had taken me back to my house to get some clothes while he and Shane cleaned everything. Turns out kidnapping leaves quite the mess, although they did get a bit pissed about all of the alcohol. 

I threw on one of Devin's t-shirts and a pair of Nike shorts, I felt cozy and the shirt smelled of him- which comforted me. I walked into the bathroom and pulled my light brown hair into a messy bun, I applied some light mascara and perfume before walking out.

As I made my way to the door, Devin cat called at me. "Did you just... no you couldn't have." I pretended to tap my chin in thought.

"I don't know what you're talking about," he says quickly.

I roll my eyes and cross my arms over my chest, "Sure." I stressed u. As I walked down the stairs it became clear he trusted me, I felt a weird connection to him. But I also couldn't get rid of the nagging feeling in the back of my head telling me to use it, and to run.

I reached the kitchen I grabbed something to eat, before sitting with Sam. "What's going on inside your head, Chica?" Sam asked, turning to me.

I shrugged, "I don't know.. I just feel anxious." She grabbed my hand in hers and squeezed, she's one of the few people who know how bad it can get. Entering example of the night we were kidnapped.
