chapter 6

𝚔𝚎𝚕𝚜𝚎𝚢'𝚜 𝚙𝚘𝚒𝚗𝚝 𝚘𝚏 𝚟𝚒𝚎𝚠

I wake up with the sun In my eyes, I roll back over and reach for Devin only to find that he's not there. But in his place a note:

Princess, I had to leave early this morning for an unexpected emergency meeting- it was urgent. Since you are the Luna of this pack, I don't want to make any important decisions without you. When you're ready please meet me in my office. Love, Devin.

Did he mean Love Devin like I love you or just like Love Devin? Also, what's a Luna? I've never heard that term before. I sigh, I just wanted to sleep but now my brain's running a mile a minute so there's no way I'm getting back to sleep. 

I groan-loudly might I add- but get up anyway and make my way to the shower. I strip off my pj's and as soon as I turn it on the cold water sprays on me. I quickly turn it to the hot water and jump in. The water soothes my muscles, and I love it. I start washing my hair with Devin's shampoo since mine isn't in here, besides I don't mind smelling like him.

Once I'm done I get out to look for an outfit. I finally decide on a cute white tank top and some high rise tie shorts. It was appropriate, yet cute- I think. When I'm finished getting dressed I blow dry my hair and put on some of my makeup. I add some foundation, some mascara, and lip gloss, as I like to keep it simple.

I walk downstairs and see Sam sitting there reading a magazine, "Sam, Can you toss me an apple? I have to go to Devin's office." I ask her as I walk in.

Without even looking up she says, "Sure, here," and tosses me one. 

I catch it with ease and take a bite out of it, "Thank you!" I call back and she waves me off. I continue my walk down the hall as I eat my apple and I get a few 'Hi Luna' or 'Hey Luna'.  But I have no idea what a Luna is.

When I get to the big doors that lead to his office I push them open and walk-in. As soon as they open Devin's head whips to look at me and he smiles, motioning for me to come over. I do, and he pulls me into his lap, "You're so beautiful, you know that?" He whispers in my ear making me blush slightly.

I cough, "So uh what d-do you need to tell me?" I stutter. I almost groan as I see the smirk appearing on Devin's face as he knows he has an effect on me.

Devin clears his throat, "One of our neighboring packs, the Stone Mist Pack was attacked last night and nearly wiped out."

My brows furrowed, "That's awful, what can we do to help?" 

I see his face morph into one of happiness as he replies, "That's what I wanted to talk to you about. The only ones left are the Delta, Delta Female, and a few pack members. They want to join our pack." Our pack, he said our pack.

"They want to give up their pack?" I ask, I must look confused as hell right now. I'm still fairly new to all of this werewolf stuff- I literally only knew the basics I learned from teen wolf and Devin.

He tries to explain it to me, "Yes, they lost their Alpha, Luna, Beta, Beta Female and a lot of pack members. They can't support themselves anymore. It's a hard decision, but it's one they ultimately have to make." I nod as I start to understand.

"Of course they can. But quick question, what is a Luna and what is a Delta?" I ask quickly, I've got to know.

He chuckles, "You are a Luna. A Luna is the Alpha's equal, and mate. She helps him run the pack."

"And a Delta?" I question again.

He sighs, "A Delta is the Alpha's third in command, much like the Beta is the second. Shane is my Beta."

I was confused, "Do we not have a Delta?"

He shook his head no, "My Delta was killed a few months ago in battle."

"Well, why don't we acknowledge the Beta Female and Delta's positions in the pack so they are still respected, and maybe their Delta could be ours." I proposed.

He smiled and pressed his lips to mine. I was shocked at first, but I quickly melted into it. When we broke apart he rested his forehead on mine, "That's a great idea, princess. I can call them today."

I gave him a small smile, "Okay." 

He pulls out his phone and dials a number. After two rings, the callee answers, "Hello?"

"Elliot, it's Alpha Devin." He spoke into the phone.

"Alpha Devin, it's so good to hear from you. Have you made a decision?"

Devin glanced at me and I nodded, "Yes, Luna Kelsey and I have. We have decided to invite you into our pack, and I was wondering if you would like to be the new Delta." 

There was a pause, "I would be honored, thank you so much, Alpha-"

Devin cut him off, "You can call me Devin." He said with a smile as he played with a piece of my hair.

"Thank you, Devin. We're very happy to be joining the Ever Mist Pack, and grateful you're taking us."

"That's what allies are for, Elliot. Shall we expect you later today?" I didn't hear what was said next but then Devin said, "Alright, see you then."

I gave him a look, "So?"

He smiled, "They're moving in later today, and the ceremony will be held on Saturday." As he said this he wrote it down on a sticky note, in fact his office was adorned with sticky notes full of reminders.

"Good, I hope there will be more girls coming, we don't have anyone to hang out with." I say with a smile.

He caressed my cheek, "Me too, Princess, me too." He says with a sigh. All of a sudden he stares over at me, "How did I get so lucky?"
