Sir Bryan's Confession

Third Person's POV

It was a pleasant morning for Aurelia. She had woken up with her memory of yesterday as clear as diamond. She dressed herself, preparing to go to the training ground but stopped herself when she saw the mirror. She was extremely glad that her lips were not swollen as the last thing she needed now was a reminder of how improper she had acted. The kiss felt good, she admitted, but it must not happen again until and unless she became Daniel's legally. She would not bring a scandal on the royal family.

Humming her favorite classic music, Salut D'amour, she went to the training ground. Just as she was about to reach the palace door towards outside, she met a very tired-looking Dominique. It seemed that Dominique was not able to sleep properly the night before. The more he thought of it, the more he seemed to blame his sister. She had embarrassed him by telling the earl that he was terrified of Sir Bryan. It made him look like coward and he certainly was not and will never be a coward!

"Good morning, brother" greeted Aurelia with a merry voice. However, she was replied by an impolite grunt. Not in a good mood, she decided.

Silently, they made their way towards the training ground. Aurelia was surprised to see that Daniel had already begun practicing. She had not observed him closely while he was holding a sword before but now that she saw it, she was sure that she would never forget it. He looked so strong and so muscular. She had not realized that she was ogling at him until Sir Bryan warned her that she was about to bump her head on a tree. "Good morning, Sir." She greeted while trying to hide her blush.

"Well, well now, what did you guys did yesterday?" Sir Bryan asked them after he made sure that Daniel was also in front of him. When he did not hear any answer, he continued, "Nothing? Surely not! If you lot had done nothing then Tyreus would not remind me to shape you all up. Now speak!"

Aurelia looked at Dominique and Daniel. Dominique met her eyes with a frown while Daniel with a naughty grin which made her blushed lightly. She decided to just tell him, "We... kind of got back to the palace later than expected. We did not see the time and passed the curfew. That's why we are here now."

Sir Bryan nodded to their answers. In a way, he could understand as when he was of their age, he was eager to venture and experience more. However, he would still train them harder than usual today since it was his sovereign's wish and he thought it would be a good warning so that they would think of how worried they made other people felt.

"Now then, Aurelia and Daniel go for archery," Aurelia thought that she would faint. It was exaggerating of course but she was really bad at archery. She was just not a long ranged fighter unlike her brother. While Daniel was quite content with this arrangement as he could be closer with Aurelia. "Obviously, for Dominique, swords." When he heard Sir Bryan's words, his shoulder slumped as he waited to face his own fate.

"Wait, Sir Bryan! I forgot to introduce you to my friend, Luke. Should he also join our training?" asked Daniel. All of them had not realized of Luke's presence but when Aurelia did, her face shone with happiness for she had grown fond of him in a sisterly manner. After seeing Luke, Sir Bryan only nodded and said archery. Instantaneously, Aurelia led Daniel and Luke towards the archery section and took their places. With much reluctance, Dominique unsheathed his sword and started clashing it with his mentor.
