Vamp Grayson

Chapter 9

Aria's POV

Lunch was great. Taco bell is lowkey my favorite restaurant.

As we pull back into the school parking lot, Caroline rushes to her next class because she exclaims that she's late. Liar. Anyway, I notice Grayson, and I smile.

"Cutie is coming towards you" Bonnie says which makes me blush.

"Oh hush" I say

Grayson walks up to me and Bonnie.

"I'll just leave you two alone" she smiles and walks away.

"Hey" I manage to say

"Hey" he smiles.

"Hey, um do you want to come to the bonfire tonight? It'll be a lot of fun, I promise. And, you can get wasted which that's a bonus" I giggle.

"I'd love to, it sounds fun" he smiles.

I check my phone and it's 12:45. The bell rings in two minutes for 5th hour.

"Oh, shoot. I have to go! See you tonight?" I ask

"I'll be there" he smiles and I rush away.

*After school*

I drive home and rush into my room. Not even saying hi to aunt Jenna. Oh well, she'll live.

I bring out my diary and start writing.

Dear diary,
today was annoying. Why should I say that? Well, because everybody was asking me if I was okay. Nobody would be okay after their parents died, and you didn't. I was supposed to die with them. Why couldn't they live, and I die? Why does this have to happen?

I stop writing as tears are pouring out of my eyes. Although writing makes me feel better at times.

But the day was okay as well, because that guy Grayson talked to me, and I was nervous yet again. I don't know why he has that effect on me, but he does.

I smile and wipe my tears.

*time passes*

I wear my same sweater, leggings, and boots to the bonfire.

I head downstairs and I talk to aunt Jenna and Jeremy.

"Hey guys" I say

Jeremy just rolls his eyes and says:

"I'm going to the bonfire, bye"

"Jeremy wai-" I'm cut off by him slamming the door.

I sigh in frustration.

"Dammit, why is he being so stubborn"

"I don't know, but it'll get better" aunt Jenna says, rubbing my back.

"Well, I've got to go, I'm meeting Bonnie and Caroline" I say, checking the time.

6:45, and it's already dark.

"Gotta blast!" I say, bursting out in laughter, and walking out the front door.

"bye Aria" aunt Jenna giggles.

I get into my car and head to the bonfire.

Grayson's POV

I sit down at my desk and get my journal.

Dear Diary,
Today was great, I talked to the beautiful girl I've mentioned before, and I'm going to the bonfire with her tonight. Everybody kept asking her about her parents, and how she was doing. She said she was fine, but I know she isn't, because i've been through this situation. The thing is, I was the one who saved her from drowning, in that car. I was out walking around when it happened.

I was walking down Wickory bridge, and I saw a bright flash of headlights from a blue car. They saw me, and they swerved off the bridge. Their car was sinking by the second, so I dove into the water to save them.

As I swim up to the drivers side, the man sees me and points to the back seat, and I see an unconscious girl. I nod and swim over to the rear side. I then brake open the rear door and I grab her, and jump out of the water, laying her on down on the ground. I bite my wrist and give her some of my vampire blood.

I dove back in to try and save the other people, but it was too late...

I'm very sad that I couldn't save them, but I had to get this girl to the emergency room. I use my supernatural speed and run as fast as I can to the hospital. They take her away, and I watch as she turns the corner into the emergency room.

I know she's going to be okay, because my vampire blood healed her.

And that's why I decided to stay in New Jersey, so I could get to know her, Aria.

I close my journal and go into my cabinet, and get out the picture of Katherine. I stare at it for a solid 2 minutes.

God, Aria looks exactly like her. How is this possible?

I snap out of my thoughts and put my book back into the cabinet.

I have no idea where Ethan is, and I don't care. I just hope he's not feeding on someone.

I walk downstairs and I walk out of the door until my nephew Zach stops me, flashing me a newspaper in my face. I read it.

"Two people mauled by animal"

"Uncle Grayson, you said you had it under control!" he says.

A puzzled look appears on my face.

"And I do. This wasn't me. Ethan is back in town" I say, rolling my eyes.

"What? And you didn't tell me?"

"Well, I'm a little busy with school at the moment" I say

"I'll deal with him" I say as I push him past me.

"Well hurry it up because he's gonna hurt more people"

"Zach, don't worry." I say, putting my hands on his shoulders.

I walk out the door and head to the bonfire.

I make it to the bonfire and there are people everywhere, and no sight of Aria.

Another advantage of being a vampire, is it's easy to locate people with supernatural hearing.

I listen, trying to find the sound of her voice.

In the process, I hear people chattering, making out, clinking bottles of beer, heartbeats, blood.

My veins start to pop out. Deep breath, Grayson. Control.

My veins disappear, and I listen harder.

"You're so lucky, He's hot!" Bonnie says

"Okay, so he's a little pretty" she giggles, as I smile.

"A little? He's got that romance stare" Bonnie says, and I look up, and start walking towards her.

I almost reach her until I'm stopped by Caroline.

"Hey! Glad you could make it! Wanna go get a drink?"

"Um, you know I shouldn't" I say

"Oh come on!" she says as she pulls me away.
