After the shock of her dream finally wore off, Charlotte finally got herself ready for her birthday. She had decided on a black and red plaid shirt that went down to her mid thighs along with some black skinny jeans. She slipped on her red converse and walked to her vanity. She smiled to herself as she picked up a picture from the many that were on her mirror. There was a woman with blonde hair and blue eyes sitting on a bench with her two daughters. Luna was nine and Charlotte was eleven. She was about to start Hogwarts that year and her younger self was waving her acceptance letter. It was the last picture taken before the accident. She wiped her eyes, forcing the tears not to come as she put the picture back.

She then grabbed a black ribbon and tied her long red hair into a ponytail and then sat down to do her makeup. She put foundation on along with some dark red lipstick before working on her eyes. Since they were the most unique thing about her, she liked to show them off. One eye was emerald green and the other was as blue as sapphires. She started with some black and grey eye-shadow and then put some liquid eyeliner on her lids before grabbing the normal eyeliner and tracing under her eye. Once she had reached her desired darkness, she threw on some mascara and looked at herself.

She nodded in approval as she grabbed her purse and headed downstairs. Once she was in the living room, she peeked around the corner and once she saw that her father was no where in sight, she walked outside. She loved him, it was just he was a little crazy and seemed to go overboard with the littlest things. As she wondered about the garden in their backyard, Charlotte couldn't help but think about her previous birthdays.

She avoided her father during all of them ever since she turned thirteen. When Luna was sorted into Ravenclaw, Charlotte knew that she belonged there. She also discovered just how different she was from her father and sister. It wasn't just her appearance, but everything about her.

While Luna and their father were open minded to any and everything strange; Charlotte was more rational and tended to rely on facts. Whereas Luna was her sister and she loved her without any judgement. Her father would always tend to bring up her mother on her birthday and Charlotte did not like to be upset on her birthdays.

Charlotte decided to walk to an empty park down the hill. When she reached it, she sat down on a swing and opened her purse. After finding what she was looking for, she pulled out her iPod and put her earphones in. Before she knew it, she was singing along with the song.

From walking home and talking loads
To seeing shows in evening clothes with you
From nervous touch and getting drunk
To staying up and waking up with you

But now we're slipping at the edge
Holding something we don't need
All this delusion in our heads
Is gonna bring us to our knees

So come on, let it go
Just let it be
Why don't you be you
And I'll be me?
Everything that's broke
Leave it to the breeze
Why don't you be you
And I'll be me?
And I'll be me

From throwing clothes across the floor
To teeth and claws and slamming doors at you
If this is all we're living for
Why are we doing it, doing it, doing it anymore?

I used to recognize myself
It's funny how reflections change
When we're becoming something else
I think it's time to walk away

So come on, let it go
Just let it be
Why don't you be you
And I'll be me?
Everything that's broke
Leave it to the breeze
Why don't you be you
And I'll be me?
And I'll be me

Trying to fit your hand inside of mine
When we know it just don't belong
There's no force on earth
Could make it feel right, no

Whoa

Trying to push this problem up the hill
When it's just too heavy to hold
Think now's the time to let it slide

So come on, let it go
Just let it be
Why don't you be you
And I'll be me?
Everything that's broke
Leave it to the breeze
Let the ashes fall
Forget about me

Come on, let it go
Just let it be
Why don't you be you
And I'll be me?
And I'll be me

Suddenly, arms wrapped around her, forcing her to stop singing. She pulled out the earphones and looked up at the person who interrupted her.
"Happy birthday, Lotty."
