A/N: I'm going to try and include some of the past characters, however I'm only a new Grey's anatomy fan and I'm not sure on the older characters personality or relationships with others, so please bare with me! I hope you all enjoy! (I am unsure of the timeline in the series, But lets just say that this will be set in what will be the the end of the season 12 timeline. The residents are in their final months of their final year of residency. They will take their boards on November 7th.)
This story has been posted on my Fanfiction account too, however this one is going to be dated more frequently as its a lot easier to update! 💖💖
I hope you all read and enjoy! Don't forget to follow, favourite and review if you can! It would mean the world to me! Happy reading! :)
Chapter one- a beach wedding
September 1st 2015
Jo stands at the end of the Aisle, preparing to walk down and see the love of her life, the man that made her whole. Today was the start of the rest of their lives together. It only took them moving in together almost 6 months ago to realise that they were perfect for each other. That by themselves they were two halves to a puzzle but that together they made a whole.
The sunset was radiating through Jo's perfectly curled brown hair. She had a long white flowing dress on that was strapless and had some jewel details on the stomach of the dress. It had a train that was of an average length and was just stunning on her.
Walking Jo down the Aisle was Richard, a man that had been more like a father to Jo then the several foster fathers that she'd had in her lifetime. The music begins and Jo begins the long walk down the centre aisle with friends looking at the blushing bride walk.
When she reaches the alter Richard hands her over to Alex, who then proceeds to lift up her vale and hold onto her hands. They both look lovingly and deeply into one another's eyes and the priest begins to speak.
"We are gathered here today to join Alexander Michael Karev and Josephine Jane Wilson in wholly matchimony. Christ blesses this love. He has already consecrated you in baptism; now, by a special sacrament, he strengthens you to fulfil the duties of your married life. Alexander and Josephine, you are about to celebrate this sacrament. Have you come here of your own free will and choice and without compulsion to marry each other?" The priest asks.
"We have," Alex and Jo say together.
"Will you love and honour each other in marriage all the days of your life?" He asks.
"We will," the couple say.
"Are you willing to accept with love the children God may send you, and bring them up in accordance with the law of Christ and his Church?" The priest asks.
"We are," Alex and Jo say as they continue to look at each other.
"We shall now take part in the traditional exchanging of vows. Alexander," the priest says.
"Because of you, I laugh, I smile, I dare to dream again. I look forward with great joy to spending the rest of my life with you, caring for you, nurturing you, being there for you in all life has for us, and I vow to be true and faithful for as long as we both shall live," Alex says. Jo smiles.
"Josephine," the priest prompts.
"I love you, with everything I have. Today I am so proud to call you my husband. Words will never be enough to show the love I have for you. When I'm with you my heart beats so fast. I feel like it may explode if I let myself feel just how much I love you. The extent of your beauty is overwhelming, both inside and out. I could not possibly live without you. I promise to be there for you and our family, and I will never let you down. I look forward to growing old with you. You are my best friend, and my soulmate, I have loved you since the day I met you, and I will continue to do so until forever," she says. Alex smiles.
"Alexander do you take Josephine to be your lawfully wedded wife, to love and to hold, in sickness and in Heath, for richer or poorer, for better or worse, till death do you part?" He asks.
"I do," Alex says.
"Josephine do you take Alexander to be your lawfully wedded husband, to love and to hold, in sickness and in Heath, for richer or poorer, for better or worse, till death do you part?" He asks.
"I do," Jo smiles.
"What God joins together man must not separate. May the Lord confirm the consent that you have given, and enrich you with his blessings," the priest says. "We will now participate in the traditional exchanging of rings," he says. Alex and Jo exchange rings. "By the power invested in me, I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss your bride," the priest says.
Alex pulls Jo in for a dip kiss and they kiss passionately on the alter.
"Get a room evil spawn!" Christina yells playfully from the crowd. About three months ago she and Shane had returned to Grey Sloan memorial and both plan to stay.
Alex picks Jo up and she giggles like a school girl as he carries her over the threshold and to the reception, which was located just down the beach.
*********
"Congratulations evil spawn," Yang says to Alex.
"Evil spawn? Now that's something I didn't miss," Alex says.
"You missed it, come on," she says pulling him along.
"Alright, yeah, I did," Alex replies.
"I can't believe you're hitched now," Steph says, "now I'm the only single one in our resident group," Steph says.
"Come on, you're not the only one, there's Shane," Jo says.
"And now you're leaving me," Steph says getting teary.
"Oh come on Steph. I only got married, it's not like I'm leaving you. You can still come over for girly nights in," Jo smiles.
"But now you have so much to look forward to, a new life, a husband to come home to, babies, family, new houses," she says.
Jo smiles, "you are my family too and you're always welcome. But the beds not big enough for three so that might be a problem," Jo says.
"You're right. Alex will have to sleep on the couch, are you sure you're okay with me kicking your husband out of your bed?" Steph asks.
Jo laughs. She wasn't talking about kicking Alex out of the bed. He'd always be in the bed, she was meaning that Steph would have to sleep on the couch.
Alex and Jo are centre of the dance floor as they engage in the traditional wedding slow dance. She looks at him and he looks at her and install they can feel their Lives beating as one, joined by a union that would last the rest of their lives.
A:N: I hope you all enjoyed! The lines said by the priest are those that are apparently traditionally said at a church wedding, I googled them. Again, please review, favourite or follow. It would mean the world to me! :) also, I have used this wedding scene in my other story, but just modified it to suit the different characters.
I do not own Grey's anatomy or the characters.
