Chapter 5: Meeting Mia Black

Mia's POV

I woke up in the nurse's office. I heard some whispering but had no clue what was going on so I just sat up.

"She's Awake!" the nurse said walking towards me with the 2 girls following.

"Mia? how you feelin'?" this girl asked, I bumped into her earlier and she's the girl that saved me! What's her name, uhhh. Emma!

"I think so." I said standing up touching my head.

"Stay Seated." the nurse said. "You don't want to collapse again." she added.

"What happened? The last thing I remember is running to class because I was almost late and then black." I said

"Andi bumped into you." Emma said.

"Em!" she yelled before Emma shrugged her shoulders. "Ok, it's true but in my defense, you were the one-OUCH!" she said until Emma stepped in her toe. "I'm sorry." she added.

"Why are you apologizing? You're right it's my fault." I said.

"I'm Emma by the way." Emma said putting out her hand.

"Yeah, I know, I mean..I remember hearing people call you that and uh thanks for saving me earlier."

"No Problem. And this is-"

"I'm Andi. We're your lockermates."

"Oh yeah."

"And I'm Nurse Lily. I'm the school nurse and also a guidance counselor." Nurse Lily said.

"Hi Nurse Lily."

"While I've got you here, do you mind if I could-" Nurse Lily said before I interrupted her.

"Wait, what time is it?!? Oh No! I'm gonna be late for class!"

"School's out." Andi said before I headed to the door.

"I still have to talk to my teachers." I said.

"Oh We already did." Emma said.

"Oh, well I gotta go. Thanks again."

"Wait!" Emma yelled. "I was wondering if you wanted to go with us, we're going out for pizza in a bit."

"I would love to but I HAVE to study and find-" *Gets text from Daniel*

Where are you?!? I'm here at my locker.I'm getting worried Mia.

"wait, study? It's your first day here." Andi said

"Who do you need to find? Maybe we could help you."

"It's ok, I could take care of myself! Thanks bye!" I yelled before running out completely. FINALLY! I mean they seem nice and all but I have to meet Daniel or else I have to walk home alone. I think I ran around the whole school trying to get to Daniel but I didn't bump into anyone thank goodness.

"Danny!" I yelled running to him.

"There you are. Where have you been? You didn't show up for lunch and-"

"Long story."

"I have time." he said before he gave me a side hug and we walked home.

Emma's POV

"That was weird." Andi said once she ran off

"Andi."

"Emma." she said mocking me.

"She's your punishment." Lily said and I nodded. "Good Luck." she added and I let out a big sigh and then I went home with Andi.
