Aunt Wenderra tugged her straight through the halls and so, she had no choice, but to follow.
"Where exactly are you taking me?" Aunt Wenderra patted her arm, even as she began to speak. "I'm bringing you to your room, of course, Alala." Just as she said that, they came to an abrupt halt and she let go of her hand, walking to the door.
Hands on the door, she faced her and smiled brightly. "Ready to see your new room?"
Alala merely nodded her head, not thinking about anything else, but what the room would look like. She didn't want a room that looked unburnt and although her father did mention how that part of her personality must be due to her instincts, she still didn't like an unburnt room. They were much too lively and anything living could just come inside without the burn marks that serve as a warning to anything living that they shouldn't enter. "Yes"
Aunt Wenderra, then pushed the door open to reveal exactly what Alala didn't want. The room was too, she fumbled for the right words, alive, she supposed that word would fit. The whole room was in bright colors, colors that invited people to enter. Never mind people, it invited anything living to enter!
"I don't like the room, it's too," she fumbled again for the right word,"welcoming."
Her aunt must've known her reason for saying that from the start because she didn't seem offended, merely massaged her head. "I told him you wouldn't like the room, but he wouldn't listen." She sighed, but turned back to face Alala. "I suppose you can make any changes you want, I'll be back in a minute with the map."
"Map?"
"Yes, having a boring old tour is no fun, so I'm giving you a map." Seeing the horror at the thought of walking around with only a map as her guide written on her face Aunt Wenderra laughed. "I suppose you don't want me to say how I'll let you pick places and guide you to them instead of going through the usual tour?" With those words, her aunt made her escape, leaving her in the dreadfully lively and welcoming room.
Glancing around, Alala decided before she made up her mind on what to do to the room she would look around and so, she did, noticing the room was actually bare of anything except for the bed, as if someone knew she wouldn't like the room. She was pretty sure that someone was her aunt, seeing how she reacted earlier.
Batting the thought away, she made her way to the only other thing she hadn't seen in the whole room yet, the doorway without a door, only to see stairs widely spaced from each other and looking as if someone had used dragon fire to make it. Actually, she was sure it was dragon fire, it had the look of it, and Alala knew what kind of damage dragon fire was capable of. After all, she had to learn to control her fire while she traveled around with her father, especially since she liked burning things so much.
Taking a step on a stair, she paused, long enough to check if the floor was okay for her to step on. Satisfied, she continued on her way down, noticing how humid the air was turning. Heading straight to the bottom, she was greeted by the sight of a pool of water and across from it, a shower. Well, the bare necessities of a shower, it only had a shower head and a part of the wall that seemed melted, again by dragon fire, to serve as a place for soap, shampoo and other necessities.
"You like it?" Her aunt's voice echoed around the room, surprising her and causing her aunt to giggle.
Gaining her bearings, she smiled back at her aunt. "I suppose you didn't fight about this."
Her aunt smiled back. "No, we didn't" She answered in a smug tone, as if to say 'She was always right, after all.' Then, they dissolved into a fit of laughter, spurring each other on when the other began to stop laughing.
