Chapter Five-Hunting the Hunter

Hunter: Present Day

I follow the male, hearing their argument. This wolf is important to the female, and the way he was treating her, I 'd say she's the Alpha. I watched the wolf walk, then stop and tie his shoe. I got and snuck up behind him. He heard me at the last second and rolled out of the way as I went to put my knife in his shoulder. I frown and back up a little, staying out of range of his claws.

"Your coming with me." I say.

"In your dreams."

He changes faster than I've seen a wolf change before and runs awy. I run after him, keeping up easily, running as fast as I can. I throw the knife and it zips past his left side, slicing him. He falters and trips over himself, changing from the silver. I walk past him and grab my knife that lodged itself into a randomly placed tree, and go over to him. He's naked, and covered in blood. I smile at him.

"Looks like my dreams are comming true." I knock him out.

Ned pulls up, and sews the cut closed. It cut to deep, and he would bleed before I could ask him anything. Ned pulls him into his car, putting pants on him, then gets in the divers seat. Another Tec-Hunter cleans up the blood then gets in the passenger seat. I sit in the back with the wolf.

"We're going to have fun with you."

Roxy: Present Day

I don't go home that night. I go to Natalya's and get my extra clothes and change. I wear loose jeans, and my favorite smoke colored loose shirt that dancers wear over they're leotards. I put my eye make up on, and let my eyes go yellow so I can see like a wolf, only with color.

"You shouldn't do this." I look at Natalya.

"I have to. She's killing my pack. Our pack." I tell her.

"Not the Hunter. I mean about Hue. You sent him away, and I know you were starting to feel for him at the Bar." I frown. "I could tell."

"He let the Hunter get away, and I could have had her. She killed Derek, and maybe Alex. That's two too many."

"I know. Just...call Hue and tell him you didn't mean what you said before you go. I want you to be happy."

I sigh and nod, taking the phone from her. I dial Hue's number and wait. It goes to voicemail. I frown. Hue always picks up. Something has to be wrong. I call again and there's a click.

"Hue. Lis-"

"Hello." I growl. "I've been wondering when you would call. Roxy, right? That's what his caller I.D. said anyway. What did you say his name was? Hue? Hmm..I like it. I'll remember that when I slice his skin with my knife. It's easier than calling him wolf."

"You bitch. Where is he?"

Natalya looks at me alarmed. I turn my back to her, trying to hear something that will give her away. But I hear nothing but silence.

"He's with me. I'm going to have a lot of fun with him. I wonder if he's a screamer like that Derek guy. Or maybe he'll be a smart ass like Alex. He was fun." I a smile in her voice and growl. "I hope he's not a begger. They're so annoying with begging for they're life."

"I will find you. And I will kill you." I tell her. "You will wish you never messed with the New Moon Pack." She laughs.

"You can try. But it'll be you who dies."

She hangs up on me and I throw my phone. I growl and I know I'm halfway through changing. I make myself take deep breathes and go back to human form.

"She has Hue. I'm hunting her down."

I leave before she can say anything, slamming the door behind me and running down out the building. I clenched my fists, slowing down to a fast walk. I keep my eyes peeled, looking for the Hunter. People stare at me, noticing my yellow eyes. I can't calm down enough to make them go back to my dark eyes. People gasp, stare, and point. I only look for the one face, the one smell, the one bitch that took my mate, totured and killed two of my pack memebers.
