Skyler looked at her phone realizing she got a text from Chresanto 3 minutes ago. She read it then put her phone down, continuing to watch the movie with her mom in the living room. As the movie came to an end they walked to the kitchen. "I'm hungry, what you gonna make us?" Skyler asked her mom smiling. "girl you need to learn how to cook, I ain't ya personal chef" Ms.Jordan joked opening the fridge just as her phone rang. Running to answer it she seen it was Drey, the guy she was dating. "Hello" she said smiling at Skyler who rolled her eyes. It wasn't that she didn't like him, he just wasn't her father. Her father had left her when she was 7 so her mom was her mother and father. That's why her and Jacob had clicked so easy and fast, his mother had too played both roles of his parents. Why didn't he want me? She thought to herself frowning. Her mom hung up the phone, smiling. "Drey said hi Sky" she said dancing around her daughter. "why so happy?" Skyler asked curiously folding her arms and looking at her cheerful mom. "he's coming to pick me up so we can go on a date" she bloomed and pinched her daughters cheeks. "So you're blowing me off for a stupid date?" Skyler began to get upset at her mom. "You can invite Deandra and a few friends over" her mom tried to cheer her up by Skyler wasn't having it. "You always do this, it's not fair. You said I changed but you did mom" Skyler said running off to her room.
