"Woah! Easy now!" His voice became more clear and his face more visible-ish?
It was Marcus... But he didn't look the same.
"M-Marcus w-what the heck are you?!" I looked at the ghostly figure as he snapped his fingers and turned back into a young boy.
"My father, Malachi, may have given up his powers long ago as a child but I still have mine."
"That's... Amazing," I looked to the ground.
"Are you okay..? W-was it something I said?" He walks over to me.
"I'm fine really I guess sometimes you don't always take after the parent you want to..." I shrugged and turned away from him.
"Oh... Laura I did-"
"You didn't need to know... I'm fine, okay?" I silenced him.
"I haven't seen you in two years Laura, how've you been?" He changed the subject.
"Good," I smiled at him.
"I guess your wondering when I unlocked my powers eh?"
I nodded at him.
"When we moved away from Phoenix Drop, it was because my father wanted to help me control my powers and we moved back just recently, not much has happened in my life though..."
"I-I need to go..." I turned to exit the cave.
He grabbed my shoulder and pulled me back, our chests touching, I looked up at him with his almost see-through green eyes and dark brown hair, "I-I'm sorry I guess I just wanted to get to know you more, but if you need to go I can walk you home..?"
I didn't want to leave him... So I stayed. We laid outside in the grass telling each other about our lives, dreams, hopes, wildest adventures, pretty much our whole life in a nut shell.
"It's getting really dark out Marcus..." I yawns and could barely keep my eyes open.
He told me to lay back down and just go to sleep, he then got up and made a little bed out of leaves and made a fire next to it. Next thing I knew, I had woken up on the little bed with Marcus sleeping on the dirt. I could hear in the distance something very faint, a horn on a boat... Wait! Aereth! I didn't bother to wake Marcus because this was Aereths ship, the ship she was going to go to Aradex on, the ship she would leave me on for many years... And I had forgotten to say goodbye.
I hustled my way through the trees as the sun was rising over the horizon. Back in the village, many people were watching the boat leave. I squirmed though the crowd to the front, but no one would let me past.
"LET ME GO!!! THATS MY BEST FRIEND!!!" I pushed people. Anger was building up inside me, my vans were popping, I felt like I was going to explode into a million pieces.
