I looked at the village and saw many people cloaked in blue silk and iron armor plated with gold marching into there. I stood in the shadows to see what would become of everything, I guess I was just scared until I saw it... My mother being dragged from my home and the men storming into the village castle. This was no small invasion this was an attack that unlike others, will be hard to win. Seeing my mom being taken away broke the last twig in my mind. I snapped.
"MOM!!! No! Let her go!" I grabbed my bow on my back and changed at the guards with an extra dagger in my pocket. I was more skilled with bows, but they were not helpful in close range attacks. I guess my ignorance got the best of me when I ran up there... With one slash they had me on my knees limping and trying to make my way to the boats where they were taking my mom. I couldn't make it in time though. The men grabbed back ahold of me and started to drag my body toward the docks. I had to do something, anything. Then I saw him, Marcus he grabbed the men behind me and tossed them to the ground freeing my grip, but not for long. We turned to run right as we were sure that they were knocked out but there before us stood their lord. He grabbed me with one hand and held a dagger with another. Marcus on the other hand was pushed to the ground and picked back up by two more guards. We were hauled onto the same ship, both awaiting the same faith.
