"Laura go get some rest we need to head out tomorrow for Scaleswind because that man that you killed, the members of his group will come looking for him so we need to leave very soon..." Aiden started to head out of the room.
"Wait! Tell. Me. About. These. Powers. Or else..." I stood tall.
"Look Laura I can't tell you."
"Why because you don't trust me?"
"Because I barely understand what they are myself?!"
"What do you mean...?" I walked over to him.
"My dads name... was Dmitri and he met a girl that he fell in love with. Little did he know her mom was Sasha, a shadow knight."
"Aiden... Are you..?"
"It was supposed to be impossible to be born as a shadow knight... But I obtained powers that you have too... I just don't understand them yet, and once I found out that people were after you because of that I knew you were my only hope at learning more about this... I had to save you..."
I turned around to go to bed, knowing that I now knew enough to actually trust him.
It took a few hours for me to cope with everything while lying in my bed... I finally fell asleep though. My eyes closed but opened about instantly. I sat up but was not in my bed. I was looking into a fiery waste land with castles made of bricks and creatures of all shapes an sizes looking over it. I foolishly decided to further investigate. I walked along the burned up bridge with ashes sparking from it... Flames consuming the edges of the walk way. Everything was a clear sky of red besides two dark circles. I began to walk towards the black figures until they were clear enough to picture.
"D-Daddy!?" I ran towards the man cloaked in black and red.
"You recognize me Laura?" He gives me a smirk.
"I Love you daddy!' I hugged him tightly.
"Why did you leave me then?" He pulled away.
"Leave you? I didn't-" He faded away.
They terrain around me began to fade into a shaded village setting with no one to be seen anywhere. I took a stroll around the area and quickly noticed I was standing in Phoenix Drop. The only difference was that no one was there.
I walked around the town square, "Hello! Is anyone here!?"
"Why did you leave us Laura?" Two familiar voices came from behind the tree.
"M-Mom?! M-M-Marcus?!" A tear fell from my eye, "I'm trying to save you right now!"
"Your saying you actually that you trust that Aiden kid?" Marcus walked up to me, "don't you love me?"
"I-Its not like that!" I grabbed him.
"I saw that kiss..." He and my mother began to fade like my father.
The world around me was black. Only darkness. Nothing else.
