Shopping was exhausting. It turned out I had more in common with Veronica then any of the other girls. We shopped at the same stores and later trailed off away from them. I put my bags down at a small booth.

"My feet are killing me. When did the other girls say they were going to be done" I question.

"In about another hour. " Veronica replied.

"Would you ladies like us to take your bags back to the limo" I propped my head up on my fist. "Yes please. Thank you" the guards got our things and were on their way. So it turns out that Xyla was Alpha Zane's mate and the reason Nate got appointed omega.

"So what's with you and Brenden" Veronica hissed at his name. To tired to start anything I just told her my opinion of him.

" I'm not going to lie he's a real looker, but I doubt it will be anything. He seems to caught up in trying to get into my pants then learning what's in my brain. Plus rumor has it he's a man whore" we both laughed at the last part.

"What was with you two?" I questioned hoping I didn't sound nosey.

"We dated for a year. But then it wasn't clicking anymore like the spark we had just disappear. I wanted a break. A week after he already had a new girl like I was nothing. I try to push down that feeling of hatred considering we do have the same friends and if we ever found our mates that was bound to happen" she sighed being quite exhausted as well.

"There they are" Fawn screamed coming toward us.

"Hey" Veronica and I said in sync. Our voices monotone suggesting we are tried of this trip. "Oh come on guys don't be buggers. Xyla had to do a lot of convincing to even let the Alpha considered letting us out of the pack grounds"

"Like she didn't enjoy it" Roselyn nudged her, trying to suppress her laugh.

"How I convinced Zane to let us go shopping is my business. All he said is we have to be on pack grounds before eleven and its nine. I say clubbing"

"No!" Veronica and I said I'm sync again and I could see from the corner of my eye Fawn glaring at me. I knew she hated that Veronica-her best friend- and I were getting close, but hey two great minds think alike.

"We need food" Veronica mumbled

"And sleep" I interjected

"Party poopers" Xyla groaned.

"I can just call Nate to pick us up" I spoke out more asking Veronica.

"No!" Roselyn shouted. Clearing her throat "Um I just mean he might be hanging out with the Alpha and you wouldn't want them to worry. Call Brenden." Roselyn spoke firmly.

"If anyone calls him I'll break your fingers" Veronica hissed.

"Well you guys can't take the limo cause we need it and you can't call a taxi"

"Why?" I questioned.

"Cause what if it's a hunter in disguise. Your practically causing world war three" Fawn said harshly. I bit my lips knowing that might have been a stupid question to ask especially all that we have been through with these damn hunters.

"Back off Fawn. How the hell was she supposed to know."

Fawn looked a little taken back at the way Veronica defended me.
