Royal- Epilogue 40

IT'S OVER! I have finally finished this book that I'm so proud of. It makes me so happy that I could end it with 7k reads, which is pretty big for me. Thank you for all of the people who have voted, liked the book, shared it with friends or whoever and have commented letting me know how they feel about my book. If you can imagine the struggle I've been through, one point wanting to delete all of this. All I can say is hard work pays off.

~ 2 years later ~

Following my baby as he waddled from room to room I tried to steer clear of my hot headed brother.

"You baby him to much." Mason swooped up our baby. "If he wants to be anything like his father he should be already running up and down this palace." Mason looked up at me and my smile instantly changed to a frown.

He tries so hard to put his hatred behind him, but the eyes are a clear path to the soul.

"What's wrong Amara?" He put our baby down and started walking my way. Putting my hand up for him to stop Veronica's scent was filling my nostrils.

"I'm going to take Arron for a walk. You might want to shower."

Mason let out a weary sigh. " I promise it is that last time." He reached out grabbing my arms against my free will.

"You said that so many times that I have lost count. Just go Mason. Stop putting yourself through this torturous experiment. I've been second to her for so long that I forgot what it felt to be loved."

He threw me back causing me to stumble. "You cause this! Lying about my mother , killing my father. You broke this family before it even started."

With the disappearance of Dan and my mother Mason only turned to the worse. As much as I despise Dan, I was going to protect him even if it was for a man that no longer exists inside of Mason.

"I saved him from misery and your mother didn't want you Mason! Your father was a lot of things but he loved you the way he could but I couldn't let him live. It was peace for both sides."

Mason walked over to me tears running down his face. "I feel nothing anymore. Not with you, not with her , I even fake it with my own son. You did this to me." Mason planted a big sloppy kiss on my face. "And now your stuck with me."

Mason walked out of the room not forgetting to grab the whiskey that was left on the table.

Picking up Arron I called one of the nanny to fetch me his jacket and baby bag. I pulled out my phone and called the one person I could talk to.

"I need you" I choked out.

"Tell me where and when to meet you."

"Park. Now" with urgency I hung up the phone and began to rush up to my room with Arron.

The nurse brought Arron's baby's bag, and with my request Gage was to come retrieve my things. To her knowledge I was going to take a weekend trip to our family cabin.

I ran to my drawer pulling out some clothes for the baby. Diapers , bottles, formulas, anything that he possibly could need. I shoved them in the bag as neatly as I could. Leaving the ring that my father gave me on the dashboard along with anything that tied me to Mason or the royal family. It was time to get rid of this cursed life for good.

My babbling baby brought me out of my trance.

"Oh Arron. Mommy loves you so much. I won't ever let anything happens to you. Not now, not ever."

Taking our things along with the extra bottle the nanny usually packs , Gage's smile that he once had no longer exists as well. But the one thing I could count on was his ability to hate Mason more than anything for taking his new found love. The picture of the red headed beauty still hung from his neck.

"Gage." He took my bags without even looking my way. It's almost as if he stays here to torture himself.

When we arrived to the park Erica stood up trying not to make a scene. Assuring her that all is well I let Arron go run about.

"You call sounded urgent." Erica sat next to me on the bench. I tapped my ear to signal that guards were listening to out conversation. I was going to mind link her.

"I need to take Arron and leave. I need to be far away from Mason. I'm leaving him. "

"What do you mean your leaving him." Erica held on to my hand tighter.

"Within the first week of me leaving he will assume I'm with our child and he can't known where Arron is. I'm pregnant again. I need time to figure out what to do. Mason made a promise to me to take away my happiness. It's only a matter of time he hurts Arron in a way that can't be forgiven. I'm leaving this life and I need Arron to leave this life as well. We need to be happy if we are ever going to thrive.When he's strong , I will tell him of his former life and he will return back to the throne to lead with love and a pure heart. Undo all the hatred my family has caused." I handed my baby to Erica. Putting a decoy baby back into my stroller I got up leaving.

"I'll meet you at the airport. Protect him while I find a way to get to you. In case I don't make it take care of him" I blew a kiss in his directions while folding a necklace I took from my chest. It was a picture of me back when I was at the pack.

"Your going to make it!" Erica held my hand tighter.

"Let the people I care so dearly about that know I'm coming home."

I waited for Erica to disappear before I made it back to the car.

"To the cabin princess." Gage asked

"One day we'll take back the throne. You'll have your peace and I'll have the purity I lost. To some extent."
