HAPPY NEW YEARS EVERYONE!!!!! We made it. I'm so thankful for that and so so much more. And great news is that I'm out of my writers funk and I'm back on track with this book again. Nate's POV

"I hate lying to her. When she finds out she is going to be devastated." I laid back on the dirty motel bed.

"She can't know. She can't know that I know. This is for the best. We lead her off this trail and we're free. You tell her now , Nate we are goners."

Veronica paced around the room. "We need a way to protect Mason while finding a way to stop Dan."

"It's creepy your on a first name basis with Mason's dad."

"He likes me" she smiled.

"Whatever. As far as I know she has no idea about Mason. That doesn't mean she doesn't suspect. " I gather my things.

"Why do we have to kill him. Can't we just lock him up forever and ever." Veronica pouted.

"No, he's planning to take over the human world. That isn't good. Alpha Dan isn't a good guy. Do we even know Mason is?"

"Oh don't let the fact that you love Amara get in the way of your judgement. You've known Mason since we were pups. He's good. His mother raised him right."

"I have to get to the airport. Raven will be waiting for me on the other side of the world. Yay chips" I said dryly.

"We meet back here in a week. Whatever you do don't contact the royals. Or this will turn into another hell ground."

"Let's just hope our plan doesn't back fire." I gave Veronica a hug before I left. " we miss you back at the pack. Derrick misses his sister. He will deny that. "

"I know you guys do. But I had to get out of there. And thank god I did. Infiltrating another pack takes dedication."

"Stay alive , and come back to us." I hollered one last time.

" I plan to!" She giggled

"Faster! Alpha Dan said you were worth my time" one of the trainers from his pack whacked me with a stick. Groaning from the pain I dropped to the floor.

"Hey! Did I say to take a break. You want to learn how to fight , then get the hell up or get the hell out." Another whack found its way on my back. Looking down I was forming bruises. Mason wasn't going to like this.

"Razon. Don't hurt the girl. We do have to send her back to her beloved pack. " Alpha Dan walked in. He smiled down at me.

Trying to get up, I hissed in pain. I dropped down again. My ribs were definitely sprained. I wasn't going to give them satisfaction of letting them see me cry. Trying one last time I got up and walked out of the presences of the two men.

"Where do you think you going." Turning around he slapped me. "I always to slap a royal bitch." Razon chuckled. That was the last straw I grabbed his neck letting my claws come out.

"What's wrong? Wolf got your neck. Stupid useless hybrid. Can't even shift"

Two hands threw me on the floor. I howled in pain. Razon was coughing profusely. Stupid bastards.
