Chapter 14: Moving in

A. N.
You will finally know how Lucas and Maya broke up! I didn't explain it in chapter 12!
Maya's POV
As I was moving into my room I began to tear up. I couldn't help but to think about how I had to break up with Lucas and how Riley and Farkle broke up, I never knew how they broke up but hopefully they did. I went to sit down my decoration box to start decorating my new room in Riley's house to get my mind off the tears that were about to start streaming down my face like a river. So I got started on decorating my room I put on my music to keep me from thinking about Lucas and my break up and how Farkle and Riley ended.
Flashback
I had felt my phone buzz and I looked at the text. I shot up from my seat immediately after I read the text. "Oh My Gosh! Were you just going to keep this from me?" I shouted
"What? What's happening?" Farkle questioned
"I honestly don't know anymore Farkle." And with that I ran outside with Lucas following me
Why couldn't she tell me this and not you! I yelled
"Because Maya she wanted me to tell you this so I could calm you down! You and I both know the only one who can calm you down is me!" Lucas yelled
He was right. He was the only one who could calm me down when I'm mad.
"Look Maya I'm sorry I know she should have told you this or Cory or Topanga or even your mom. But that's what you had just found out.....Katy Hart was not your mom.......Topanga is."
"So what we are fighting about doesn't even involve you?" I tried to say calmly
"Ummm....well.....no." He said
"What? What do you mean?" I asked with tears welling up in my eyes
"Well all of us are just finding this out now." He said
"What do you mean all of us? Topanga didn't know I was her child?"
"Well....she just found out that you were the one she gave up to Katy aka your mom for the past 14 years."
"How could she not remember that?"
"Well I don't know she didn't explain that to me all I know is that Riley is your sister, Auggie's your brother, Farkle is your cousin and well.........so am I." He said nervously.
"WHAT?!" I yelled louder than before.
"Yes I am your cousin and so is Farkle." He said rocking back and fourth on his feet
"Well I have to catch a flight to Texas to say goodbye to my supposed family " By this time tears were streaming down my face like Niagara Falls. "Well then," I started, he turned to look at me "I guess we are through then." I said softly but loud enough that he could hear, he came walking back towards me but at this point our faces were just about an inch apart, he smoothed out my hair, kissed my cheek, and said "Well do we have another choice I mean we're related." With that he walked away out into the cold of New York City. I was left standing there freezing in my short sleeved t-shirt, jeans, and bear paw boots.
Just then Riley walked in to the bakery, I followed her in as if nothing happened. I texted Farkle what happened between Lucas and I as fast as I could. Riley and I sat down with OUR cousin Farkle.
Apparently Riley doesn't know yet, how do I know that exactly? Well Farkle texted me while we were sitting there awkwardly with a confused Riley repeatedly saying "Farkle, Maya what's going on?"
I stood up to go talk with my mom who is the waitress where we were at. -Not the Nighthawk diner my mom works at Topanga's bakery now. Well I thought she was my mom.
Flashback over
By this time I was in the corner of my room crying into my knees. As Riley was walking by she noticed me. She came over, sat down with me, hugged me and said "do you remember when you and Lucas would joke around, you would call him, hmm, what were the nicknames?"
I answered crying but letting out a small giggle "huckleberry, ranger Rick, hop along, sun dance, and bucky mc boing boing"
"Can you sing me for me?"
I sniffled, giggled a little bit, walked over got the guitar Riley gave me that was her great grandmas, sat on my bed and started playing. "I got a great grandson who's a ranger Rick and a hop-a-long and a sundance too!" I sang while Riley did her dance.
We both laughed as she sat down next to me and I put down the guitar. "See?" She said "you guys can be like that again!"
"Ya I know Riley it's just I'm worried things won't be the same." I said getting up and hanging some of my posters
" of course they won't I mean we're all living together and we're related!" She said
"Riley..." I said sitting down "I know that's what I'm afraid of. I'm afraid that will affect our friendship."
"Okay but I'm getting tired of just talking about this right now...ooh ooh ooh!" She said getting really excited
"What?" I asked
"Want to watch a movie Marathon?" She asked
"Sure! You get the popcorn and I will get the ice cream!" I squealed we always get extremely excited when we watch movies even though we always fall asleep.
"Ooh and I will also get the crunch bars!" She squealed again
"And I will get the Hershey bars which kind? Almond, cookies and cream, or regular ?" I asked
"Get two each!" She squealed
"Good idea!" I almost yelled
We rushed down to the candy store a few buildings away and bought, Hershey bars, almond joys, crunch bars, snickers, Four different kinds of Ben and Jerry's ice cream, and more popcorn.
When we got back we picked our 4 movies we decided on Frozen (Riley's pick), Skyfall a James Bond movie (of course my pick), Malifecent (Riley's pick), and hunger games that we both picked. She got the popcorn ready and I got our ice cream bowls ready, we laid out our candy and started Frozen. During Skyfall, the third one we watched, we fell asleep with ice cream in our hands, chocolate on our faces and popcorn devoured. My head was carefully rested on her shoulder and hers was rested on my head.
"Sorry to wake you guys but Farkle got hit by a car!" Lucas yelled at us. We jumped. It took us a while to process what was going on but then Lucas repeated it. "Guys Farkle got hit by a car!"
"What?!?" We both screamed
We all rushed to the hospital. We sped up to the nurse at the counter as I said
"Where is Farkle Minkus' room?"
" on the 3rd floor room 310." She answered
"Okay thank you" I said
We rushed to the room and finally found him but what we saw was Farkle with Smackle. Riley walked in right as Smackle kissed Farkle's bruised cheek. Riley sees and still isn't over him even if he is our cousin they still dated and it still hurt her. She ran right out of the hospital onto the sidewalk with out watching where she was going. Lucas and I chased her. We chased her until we got to Broadway right when we got to that street she got hit by a bike and we saw it all happen. We were chasing her but she stopped and turned to look at us without watching for bikers, or rude New Yorkers, and a guy on a bike hit her just enough for her to be a little hurt. Then it started to rain. Hard. Harder than the hulk can punch. So Lucas picked her up and we carried her home. We tried to get a taxi but apparently it was "rude New Yorker day" if you ask me. So we walked to the nearest subway station and almost missed our train. When we got home Lucas and I laid Riley down in her bed as she snuggled in under her comforter, and I went to bed also ,since, by this time it was 10:00 at night. I fell asleep with the thoughts of Farkle being in the hospital, being related to the gang and how this was going to work out.

Phew this chapter was long it took a really long time to write so please enjoy it because I have to read it to my class tomorrow. I guess that's what I get for opening my big mouth to my English teacher.
