Minor time skip to after school

Phil's pov

"Did you bring clothes to wear to the party, or are you just wearing the clothes your wearing now. Because where going to leave from my house."

Dan held up a bag. "Yea, I can't wear this black shirt to the party, so I have a black shirt instead. Much more presentable."

I giggled at his joke, as we walked up the driveway. I could tell dan was a tad nervous, because his hands where sweaty and he kept laughing with no reason.

I swung opened the door and the house was squeaky clean. "Philly? Is that you?" Umm said from the kitchen. Dan elbowed me with a smirk on his face and whispered "Philly." "Shut up!" I said full volume.

"Did you just tell your own mother to shut up!" Dan started laughing his loud laugh. Mum walked into the entrance room and smiled at dan. "You must be Dan." She held out her hand and Dan shook it.

"Well my husband isn't home yet so you two can go do what you want for a bit." Mum said. I guided Dan into my room.

Dan's pov

Phils room was filled with memories of the other night, not all necessarily bad ones.

He jumped on his head and crossed his legs, "What do you want to do?" He asked. I sat down next to him and said "20 questions?"

He smiled and nodded, "You go first"

"Okay, what's your favorite animal?" "Lion!"

"My turn." Phil stated, "What's your favorite food?" "Malteasers duh."

We played for a bit, but we didn't get to 20 questions because Mrs. Lester called us down to dinner.

Phil's pov

Mum called us down to dinner and I tensed up. I tried to hid it but I didn't do it very well because Dan tapped my shoulder and asked, "you okay?" "Yes Daniel I'm fine."

He wasn't convinced.

"You don't call me Daniel unless something is wrong." "I said I was fine Danie- Dan!" He huffed in frustration and we didn't speak until we where in the kitchen.

Dad was sitting at the table already, and mum was working away in the kitchen. Like always. Except today Dan was there, so dad couldn't say anything or do anything to me, he had no power. And if he tried, Dan would protect me.

Dad seemed surprised by Dan's appearance. Mum whispered what I made out to be "I told you he wasn't lying."

I finally proven him wrong. I was right, he was wrong. I loved this feeling more than anything.

"Please sit down dears" mum said in her sugar-sweet tone.

Dan sat down, he looked awkward. Dad was watching dan like a hawk.

"So, Dan, this party you two are going to, did you invite Phil as a... date"

Dan turned red and quickly said, "No no the person who invited me said I could bring a friend, he's not my date no no."

Dad smile and said "Good."
