It's Tuesday, and I decide to go to school. Ignoring my parents protests to make me stay.

"You know you don't have to go today sweety if you don't want to," my mom says hugging me so tight as if to save her own life.

"Yea.. No. I'm going today. I've already missed a day of classes and I'm sure that I'm already way behind mom."

"Okay sweetheart you can go."

"Thanks. But mom?"

"Yes sweety?"

"Can you let go of me now?"

She quickly let's go of me, and I could already feel my lungs beginning to fill up with air.

She pulls me in once more to kiss my forehead and whispers "I love you Ana. Be safe."

"Love you too mom and I will," and with that I leave the house on my way to school.

I finally pull into the school parking lot. Then I park my car and turn it off.

I sit there with my hands on the steering wheel staring off, blankly into the distance. Until I hear a knock on the passenger window.

My heart begins to race, as I quickly shift my head to the direction in which the knock was coming from.

It was Nash.

She was smiling and I could tell she was happy to see me.

I unlocked the door so she could get in.

As she entered, she sat down, closed the door, and before I could even say hey she engulfed me in a hug.

At first my arms were awkwardly dangling about, but then I began to hug her back. Its so crazy how much I needed hugs right now. But it seems that no matter how many hugs I am given, they just don't seem to be enough.

She finally let's me go and says "why haven't you answered my texts?"

"I turned my phone off. Maybe I should turn it on."

"Yes I believe you should," and with that we burst out with laughter. The laughter loud enough to spread around the car but never reaching further out.

She then slowly turns to me, almost as if choosing the next words carefully and says " are you ready to go in?"

"Yes. Yes I am."

With that we both get out of the car, hand and hand, and walk into the school.

As soon as I walk in I get stares from every corner and I can hear the mumbles and whispers of the girls and guys standing by their lockers.

I decided that today I would not cover up my swollen eye and that I would make it visible. Now looking back, I believe that was a bad idea. Everyone was looking at it. Everyone including Asher.

Asher..

I haven't seen him since the dinner and ever since I've said those words to him.

I wanted to apologize but what for?

Those words held meaning and I said them for a reason, unknowingly or not.

Breaking my train of thought, I feel Nash squeeze my hand and I look to her. She looks to me and mouths "are you okay?" And I reply with a warm smile and nod letting her know everything was fine.

We then walk to our lockers and I am left alone.

I'm putting my books into my locker until I begin to feel a presence.

Slamming the locker I began to twirl around flinging my bag over my shoulder saying "okay Nash let's g-"

Until I later realized, it was not Nash.
