"OH MY GOD!" Nash shreiks.
"I knew you two were going to get together one of these days! I just knew it."
She shreiks some more, so I cover my ears as I watch her jump up and down, clapping her hands together.
I began to grow tired of her excitement so I spat, "NASH! Calm the fuck down."
With that she stopped in her position, as she looked at me with wide eyes and her hands together, stopping in the middle of her clapping.
A smile began to creep onto her face slowly, as she tried to contain her happiness.
It came to the point where she looked as if she were to explode and she finally, burst out in a fit of shreiks.
She skreiked her little heart out until she finally stopped and sat down besides me on my bed, and she turned to me.
"Seeeee I told you he loved the shit out of you."
"No you didn't."
"Okay, maybe I didn't. But I sure was implying it."
"Mmmhm, sure."
"Sooo..."
"So what?"
She rolled her eyes and grunted, almost as if she expected me to know what she meant. Then asked, "Do you feel the same way Iva?"
Taken back by her question, I fixed my mouth to answer her question, but surprisingly nothing came out.
Did I feel the same?
I mean why wouldn't I?
Right?
After all he's done for me, I should feel the same.
"I mean.. I don't know."
She gets up from the bed and stands up to stare at me with squinted eyes, almost trying to asks, "are you fucking okay?", but instead says,
"What do you mean you don't feel the same?"
"I don't know Nash. I just.. I don't know. Look, lets just drop it."
"Fine. But don't lead him on knowing you don't feel the same Iva. He really likes you. Like a whole lot. Like almost as much as I love my food. And we know I love food. Girl he doesn't like you a lot, he loves you."
I throw my head back and land on the bed. I lay there with my hands over my face as I huff out, "I know."
"Anyways.. What are you gonna wear?"
"I don't even know. I'll think about it later."
***Later***
"Iva what are you gonna wear?"
"I don't know Nash, come and help me look!"
I'm on my tippy toes attempting to go through the piles of clothes in my closet. Trying to find something to wear is harder than I expected it to be.
Deciding that I'll just give up, I fell down and landed on my caboose.
I brought my legs up to my chest, wrapped my arms around my knees, and sunk my head into the space created between them.
"Why is it so hard!?" I yell, but I'm pretty sure it comes out as a muffled noise.
Soon I heard Nash plop herself next to me as she wrapped her arms around me from the side, in an attempt to comfort me.
She rubs my shoulder as she says, "well.. Sorry to break it to you, but its because you like him."
"Well, sorry to break it to you, I don't know that yet. I've only known him for like... 11 years. I hardly know the guy."
