6 - Goodbye Flora

I swing my floral backpack onto my back and take one more glance around my room. I'm gunna miss this place like mad. I change my mind and sit down at my desk, I must do one more thing first.

Pulling out a pen I grab my notepad and scribble out a note to the Winx:

Have fun without me, I don't plan on returning anytime soon so I guess someone else can have my bed, I don't see why you would want to but good luck finding me!
P.s. I don't honestly know what you guys are on about or why you don't trust me but I sense my presence is no longer welcome.

Goodbye - From Flora XXX

I fold it and leave it stuck on my door knob.

It's 12:10 am.

I snuck out of the school and am now sitting down on a log by the lake in the middle of the forest when I hear sniffling.

I get up and turn around to see a beautiful set of blue eyes meet mine. I run over and hug my Helia for what seems like hours before finally releasing him. When I do I notice that I am not the only one who now has tears streaming down my face.

I have never seen him cry before.

"Why are you crying?"

I ask him caringly while I hold his hands.

He wipes some tears away and tries to explain.

"I... I..." He sighs and decides how to tell me.

"Riven went through my diary and found somewhere that... That... He found out about my parents..."

He sniffs.

"What about your parents?"

The following bit he mumbles so it is hard to tell what he says.

"They are... They're Stormy and Valtor..."

If I heard correctly I can't believe my ears.

"WHAT???"

I don't know why I sound so harsh but I can't believe he could keep such a thing from me!

"That's how they reacted, and now I got you in trouble too. When the Winx found out that's why they were so suspicious of you. They think that you are on their side or that I put a spell on you"

I turn away from him so he can not see the anger that is welling up inside me, why am I like this lately?! It's probably from hanging out with my enemies son!

I try to control my breathing but instead I break into a flood of tears. What am I doing? I'm supposed to be caring and forgiving! But he turned my best friends against me...

"Flora please don't hate me! You're the only one left!"

I feel horrible about it but I say

"Goodbye, Helia"

And teleport out of there before I attack him.

I land in a public bathroom in magix. There I shut my self in a cubicle and cry my heart out, only stopping and sniffing, pretending to have a cold when other people walk in.

I have been in here for ages and start to feel sleepy.

Curled up on the closed toilet seat I close my eyes and drift off.

I wake with a start as I hear my phone go off with yet another text. I sigh and check the screen, 18 missed calls, 42 unread messages.

The most recent one was this:

BLOOM: Where are you girl?! We are freaking out!

I laugh out loud at her worrying, I think she should have took more care when I was there if she was going to worry like this when I leave.

I lock my phone and put it away, smiling at the thought of how I wasn't texting back and am leaving them to worry and suffer instead.

A gush of cold wind comes in under my cubicle door when someone opens the outside door. I realise it's must be dark and freezing outside. I check the time on my phone and it reads: 2:47am. Gosh did I sleep that long??

I jump up and then realise something. I can not go through with my plan if I have the same name, Tecna's gadgets would find me in two seconds.

In search for inspiration I scramble through my bag of things, a hairbrush, a book, my potion, a card... Aha! I pull out the card from my bed which I now see is from one of my favourite teachers. Aw that is kind. After reading it i look at the front again. Bingo! It has a cute Cat on the front, which happens to be my and Helia's favourite animal.

Yay my new first name shall be Cat. But now for a last name? At the thought of Helia I immediately think of our last date, it was Valentine's Day, the best day I've had in ages.

"That's perfect!" I say enthusiastically out loud by accident.

I jump off the toilet and smirk at my new name.

Look out Hollywood arts, you have a new student called Cat Valentine!
