School, 9am

The first bell rings and I chase after Jade,

"Jade slow down!" I pant from across the hall,

"I'll explain!"

She stops opposite me and turns around to listen.

"come with me!"

If you're wandering why I'm yelling to Jade and chasing her across the hall here is a quick recap:

Last night when she was looking for that mouse she found the book on my memories as Flora.

I saw her looking at it at school a few minutes ago in the girls bathroom and now I am chasing her. What if she spills about it? That could be dangerous for two reasons,

1. It's embarrassing

And a much more serious reason,

2. There are witches and Fairies everywhere in the universe, there could easily be one at the school or following Jade online, if she mentioned it they could take the book for more than just childish stories.

It would put my identity in danger and me. What if the Trix found out, or the Winx?

So now I am begging Jade to listen to me.

"Just follow me" I repeat.

She eventually meets me at the janitors closet,
the place that everybody at the school seems to have their secret conversations.

Locking the door I try the handle to check that it's secure.

"Please don't tell anyone" I pout with puppy eyes.

She rolls her eyes

"You call that an explanation?"

"No" I sigh,

"I wrote the stories in there and made up the characters." I fib. I can take a little embarrassment to keep a secret.

She only raises her eyebrow.

"Just pleaseeee don't tell anyone, it's embarrassing."

"If your such a good writer then how come it's a secret? Don't you want people to know that you're smarter than you seem?"

"No! Look, it's hard to explain but no one can know about this! And what is that supposed to mean? Smarter than you seem?"

"Why are you writing fairy stories anyway?" She sidesteps my question.

"My little cousin, she umm... She..." I trail off

"She what?" Jade harshly  questions,

"She is sick in hospital, she has cancer! And she loves fairies"
I pour out the first false explanation that I can think of.

"Hmm, are you sure?" She calmly unlocks the door and walks out leaving me to think.

"Dang it, I forgot she could unlock it" I frown to myself.

"And what's that supposed to mean? Am I sure?"
I call out once again.

I shrug and forget that she has the book still.

"Ohmigosh!" I gasp and remember I have class. I will be sooo late!

I run and slam the door behind me.

"Ah!"
I slip on the polished floor and land once again on my butt at Sikowitz's door.

"Ouch... "
